Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have continued to bring before the Lord your situation with your father and your deep desire for marriage. We remember you shared that you are in your mid twenties and have faithfully saved almost eighty percent for marriage expenses yet your father continues to delay and this has created great tension and distance in your relationship with him. We have also heard your honest words about feeling overwhelmed and unable to focus on work, seeing friends marry while you wait, struggling with high blood pressure and thoughts of harming yourself, and wrestling with questions about Gods will, predestination, free will, and whether to consider marriage outside of your faith. We take these burdens seriously and we continue to lift you up.
We pray in Jesus Name that the Lord will comfort your heart and guard your mind with His peace that passes all understanding as spoken of in Philippians 4:7. We pray that He will draw near to you as one who is brokenhearted as promised in Psalm 34:18 and remind you that your life is precious to Him and that He has plans for hope and a future for you as written in Jeremiah 29:11. We pray that God will soften and guide your fathers heart, bring honest and respectful communication and healing between you and your father as called for in Ephesians 6:2, and give you wisdom and patience to honor Him while you wait upon the Lord. We pray that God will help you steward your health, your work and your desires, and lead you to godly counsel and support in your community so you are not alone in this struggle. We pray that He will make His will clear regarding a marriage partner and keep you from a hasty decision that would pull you away from your faith, remembering the call not to be unequally yoked as seen in 2 Corinthians 6:14. We ask the Lord to show you daily His purpose for your life and His personal love for you through His Son Jesus Christ who is the way and the truth and the life as declared in John 14:6. We pray all of this in Jesus Name.
