Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.
We have been praying for you and for your dad since you shared about that difficult debate. We understand how discouraging it must have felt to be unable to defend your faith well when he challenged you about Christianity being rewritten and about there being religions before it and about when it was written, and then to feel stumped when he walked off. We have also been praying for the burden on your heart as you asked for knowledge to help change his mind and for your own faith as you said you do not want to become atheist.
We pray together for you in Jesus Name. We ask the Lord to give you wisdom and knowledge and a deeper understanding of His truth, and to calm any fear or doubt in your heart. We pray that God will equip you to give an answer for the hope that is in you as we are reminded in 1 Pet 3:15, and to rightly handle the word of truth as taught in 2 Tim 2:15. We pray that you will be strengthened to know that the word of God is trustworthy and inspired as promised in 2 Tim 3:16. We also pray for your dad, that the Lord will soften his heart and open his eyes to the truth of the gospel, and that He will give you another opportunity to speak with him with grace and gentleness. We pray that your faith will be rooted and built up in Christ and that you will not be moved by arguments that shake your confidence, remembering that if we ask for wisdom God gives it generously as promised in James 1:5.
If your request was answered and you have had peace or another conversation with your dad or growth in knowledge and confidence in your faith, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
