I have two children. Jeff, my eldest, has two traumatic brain injuries which have caused him to have a lot of mental, emotional and physical dificulties. He currently lives in a group home for challenged adults nearby and I see him regularly. He has two homes - he lives there during the week and many weekends he spends with me. Jeff needs 24 hours supervision because he does not always make good choices. He is living at a very good place where he is cared for and treated well. Lately Jeff has been having a lot of anxiety, anger, frustration and violent outbursts. They are very reasonable and try to help Jeff, but Jeff is resistent and wants a lot of attention. Jeff tells me he doesn't understand why he gets so mad and violent. We change medications, give him rewards for good behavior etc. but he still remains depressed and frustrated. I am terrified that this group home will ask that he move out. I spend a lot of time there and am well aware that this is a good place for him and I want him to be successful. He constantly complains but his claims are not valid. If he is asked to move out, another home will be found for him that will be more restrictive and I know he will complain about that. Jeff has a good heart and always feels remorse when he has an outburst or violent episode. We pray together and he believes in God with all his heart, but his limitations and limited capabilities make him do so many things he doesn't want to do. He will ask me to please post in the prayer group that he needs prayer. He is a believer, but lately his faith seems to have wavered. Please pray for Jeff for peace. He is missing peace within him.
My other child is Amanda. Amanda battles with asthma and when she is ill, like with the flu, I am worried it can easily turn into pneumonia. Right now she is battling a horrible flu and it is affecting her breathing. Please pray for Amanda so that she is well again. Everytime the phone rings, I am afaid she will be calling to tell me she needs to go to the ER.
Thank you for reading my posts and for your kind prayers. May God Bless you abundently.
