My Calling

This year has been so different,




LORD




From any of the rest;




The mountains that I've had to climb,




Have been my greatest test.









The loved ones who turned and walked away,




Causing me to feel so blue;




Had left my heart so empty, LORD;




I knew not what to do.









And, LORD, I do apologize




For the tears that I have shed,




And for the emptiness I've felt




As I knelt beside my makeshift bed.









I'm sure You understand it LORD,




The things that I've been through.




I ask You to heal my broken heart;




LORD, I depend on you









Within this life of mine dear LORD,




I pray that I can find,




Some words of comfort from my pen




To sooth this heart of mine . . .









LORD, I ask that You strengthen me,




To help someone somewhere.




And LORD, I thank You in advance;




For Without Your hand to guide me LORD,




I would not stand a chance.
