We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent financial need. Father, we know that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and that nothing is too hard for You. We ask for Your mercy and favor to rest upon this situation, that the utility company would show grace and understanding, and that the past due power bill would be paid in full. Lord, we pray that You would open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it, as You promise in Malachi 3:10.
We also bring before You the painful matter of the scam that took place. Father, we rebuke the spirit of deception and theft in Jesus' name. We pray that the money that was wrongfully taken would be returned in full, and that this situation would be resolved according to Your justice. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We ask that You would expose the works of darkness and bring restoration.
Lord, we also pray for peace to guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). It is so easy to be overwhelmed by fear and worry in times like these, but we know that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that trust in You would grow deeper, and that faith would rise up to believe that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
Father, we also want to encourage the pursuit of wisdom in financial matters. Proverbs 22:7 says, "The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender." We pray for discernment in managing finances, for discipline in spending, and for the ability to live within means. We ask that You would provide not just for this immediate need, but also for wisdom to steward resources well moving forward.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who became poor that we might become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9), and the One through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or our needs met (Acts 4:12). We trust in You alone, Lord, and we declare that this situation will bring glory to Your name. Amen.
