My best friend (or old best friend now) has undergone some concerning changes since starting school. He commutes from home but his family never sees him, he distanced himself from his old christian friends, misquotes scripture to justify doing almost anything, became very defense and is unresponsive to rebuke or any kind of redirection. Many of our friends have become concerned and everyone goes to me about this because of how close we at least were. I've involved an assistant pasture at our church recently but he only seems to get worse. Please pray that he will open up too the truth and be responsive to Gods will and not his own. He was like my brother so this has been tough.

Father, I thank you for being a God of love and restoration. I pray that you would touch this young man's heart. That he might come back into right relationship with you. I pray that you would remove any stronghold or yoke bondage. That is operating in his life. I pray that you would create in him a clean heart and renew an upright spirit within him. I pray that you would be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Please deliver him of his backslidden state. In Jesus name I pray Amen

My account got deleted somehow but I wrote the original post. Just an update, our youth leader was finally able to talk with my friend, when I asked about their talk he was elusive and basically said he doesn't think anything is wrong and hes going to continue the way he has. Since my post many more friends of ours have approached me with concerns about him. Please continue to pray for him.
