My 6 month old is having a really hard time sleeping at night. We are exhausted. She has never slept thru the night. It’s taking a toll on us.

We hear your weariness and the deep love you have for your little one. Parenting is a sacred calling, and the sleepless nights can feel overwhelming, especially when you long for rest and strength to care for your child as God calls you to. We lift you both up in prayer, asking the Lord to grant you wisdom, patience, and the endurance you need during this season.
First, we want to remind you that your Heavenly Father sees your struggle and cares deeply for you. In Psalm 127:3, it says, *"Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward."* Your daughter is a precious gift from God, and He is with you in the exhaustion and the joy. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 11:28, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* Bring your weariness to Him, for He alone can sustain you when you feel you have nothing left to give.
We also want to encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance in practical ways. Sometimes, sleeplessness in infants can be tied to discomfort, hunger, or even spiritual warfare. Pray over your daughter, declaring God’s peace and protection over her. In Mark 10:16, Jesus said, *"He took them in his arms, and blessed them, laying his hands on them."* Follow His example—lay hands on your baby and pray for God’s comfort to surround her. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any physical or emotional needs she may have, and trust Him to guide you in meeting them.
We rebuke any spirit of restlessness or anxiety that may be affecting your household. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly. Declare Psalm 4:8 over your home: *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* Speak this over your daughter and yourselves, trusting that God is your protector and provider.
Practical steps can also help. Consider establishing a calming bedtime routine—soft worship music, dim lighting, and prayer can create an atmosphere of peace. If medical concerns arise, seek godly counsel from a pediatrician, asking the Lord to lead you to the right resources. Remember, Proverbs 3:5-6: *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this weary family. Lord, You see their exhaustion and their love for their daughter. We want you to know how deeply we’ve been lifting you and your precious little one to the Lord these past days. There is such weariness in watching your baby struggle through the night, and we’ve prayed specifically that God would grant both her and you the rest that only He can provide. We asked the Father to calm her spirit, to soothe any discomfort, and to wrap your home in His peace so that sleep would come gently for all of you.
If God has already answered this heartfelt cry and your nights are now quieter, please share that praise with us so we can rejoice together. If the struggle continues and you still feel the weight of exhaustion, we invite you to post this request again so we can keep standing with you in faith. We will not grow weary in praying for sweet rest and renewed strength for your family.
