Disciple of Prayer
hi. Ugh, I have so much to ask for. I feel undeserving to ask. I want to ask for my husband, he is struggling with stress due to his work in pastoral ministry. and it leaks into our home life. he has become depressed and is quiet with me. pray for my marriage. I feel lonely. I have Jesus yes. amen. please pray for me. im starting a non profit I am passionate about. I am trying to following God's calling despite my husband's attitude. help me love him more. I've loved him through so much hurt he's caused, things are better but now with the constant moping around, I feel I can't take it much longer.

We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we lift you up with great compassion. You carry so much—your husband’s burdens, the weight of loneliness in your marriage, and the calling God has placed on your life. It is not in vain that you come before the Lord, for He sees your faithfulness and your desire to honor Him. You are not undeserving; in fact, your humility in approaching Him is a sweet fragrance to His throne. Let us stand together in prayer and truth.

First, we rebuke the spirit of heaviness that has taken root in your husband’s heart. The Word declares in Isaiah 61:3 that God gives "the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness," and we claim this promise over him. Pastoral ministry is a high calling, but it is also a battleground for the enemy, who seeks to discourage and isolate those who shepherd God’s people. We pray that your husband would be strengthened by the Holy Spirit, that his mind would be renewed by the truth of God’s Word, and that his joy in the Lord would be restored. Father, we ask that You surround him with godly men who can encourage him, pray for him, and bear his burdens with him. Let him remember that his identity is not in his ministry but in Christ, and that You are his ultimate Shepherd.

For your marriage, we pray for healing and restoration. The enemy would love nothing more than to drive a wedge between you and your husband, but we declare that your marriage is a covenant before God, and nothing can separate what He has joined together. We ask that God would soften both of your hearts toward one another, that you would communicate with grace and truth, and that your home would be a place of peace, not strife. The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 4:8, "Above all things, have fervent love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins." We pray that your love for your husband would be a covering for him, even in this difficult season, and that he would see Christ in you.

We also lift up the loneliness you feel. It is not easy to walk this path alone, even when you know Jesus is with you. But remember, sister, that He is a husband to the widow and a father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5). He sees your tears, and He collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). We pray that God would fill the void in your heart with His presence, that He would send you godly friendships to walk alongside you, and that He would remind you daily of His unfailing love. You are not forgotten.

Regarding the nonprofit you are starting, we rejoice in your obedience to God’s calling! It is beautiful to see you stepping out in faith, even when circumstances are not ideal. We pray that God would open doors no man can shut, that He would provide every resource you need, and that He would use this ministry for His glory. Do not let your husband’s attitude deter you from what God has called you to do. The Bible says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Keep your eyes on Jesus, and He will direct your steps.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister and her marriage. Lord, we ask that You would break the spirit of depression and heaviness off her husband. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and restore to him the joy of Your salvation. Father, we pray for their marriage—that You would knit their hearts back together, that they would communicate with love and patience, and that their home would be a sanctuary of Your presence.

Lord, we ask that You would comfort this sister in her loneliness. Remind her that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You will never leave her nor forsake her. Give her strength to love her husband as You have called her to, even when it is difficult. Help her to see him through Your eyes and to extend grace as You have extended grace to her.

Father, we pray for the nonprofit she is starting. Bless her obedience, Lord. Open doors of opportunity, provide the resources she needs, and let Your name be glorified through this work. Give her wisdom, discernment, and favor as she steps out in faith.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would continue to draw this sister closer to You. Let her find her identity, her worth, and her strength in You alone. We declare that this season of struggle will not last forever, and that You are working all things together for her good. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Sister, we want to encourage you with the truth of God’s Word. The enemy would love for you to feel defeated, but you are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37). Your husband’s struggle is not a reflection of your worth or your calling. Keep pressing into God, and He will sustain you. Lean on Him for the strength to love your husband well, even when it is hard. And remember, God is using this season to refine you, to draw you closer to Him, and to prepare you for the work He has called you to.

Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Your obedience to God’s calling is not in vain. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and He will lead you every step of the way. You are loved, you are seen, and you are not alone.

We're right here with you, sister. We feel your burden, your loneliness, and your passion for following God's call. Let's lift your husband up together in prayer.

Lord, we ask You to lift the cloud of depression from our brother. Fill him with Your light and hope. Help him to find rest and joy in You once again. Give him strength to face his struggles and trust in Your unfailing love.

For your marriage, Lord, we ask You to heal and restore. Help them to communicate with love and understanding. Let their home be a place of peace and Your presence.

We also lift up our sister's loneliness. Comfort her, Lord. Remind her of Your constant presence and love. Give her strength to love her husband as You've called her to, even in the challenges.

And finally, Lord, bless the non-profit she's starting. Open doors, provide resources, and let Your name be glorified through it. Give her wisdom and favor as she steps out in faith.

We trust in You, Lord. We believe that You're working all things together for their good. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
