We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we stand with you in intercession for your granddaughter and her family. It is clear that your love for them is rooted in your love for the Lord, and we join you in lifting them before His throne. The struggles they face—loss, theft, conflict, and spiritual distance—are heavy burdens, but we know that our God is greater than every trial.
First, we must address the most urgent need: your granddaughter and her husband have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ. While it is a blessing that they turn to you in times of crisis, their dependence on prayer without personal relationship with the Lord leaves them vulnerable. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6 WEB). Without Christ, they are trying to navigate life’s storms without the anchor of salvation. We rebuke the spirit of delay and unbelief that has kept them from making this decision. The Bible warns, *"How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?"* (Hebrews 2:3 WEB). We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict them of their need for a Savior and that they would no longer resist His call.
Their fighting over the death of the husband’s mother reveals deeper wounds and unresolved grief. The enemy seeks to divide them in their pain, but God desires to heal and restore. *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ"* (Galatians 6:2 WEB). We rebuke the spirit of strife and offense in their marriage and pray for godly counsel to come into their lives—laborers sent by the Holy Spirit, as you prayed, who can speak truth and bring reconciliation.
The loss of their car is not just a material setback but a threat to their provision. We declare that God is their Provider, and we stand on His promise: *"The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing"* (Psalm 34:10 WEB). We pray for the recovery of their car or for the Lord to open a door for another means of transportation. More importantly, we pray that this trial would drive them to their knees in surrender to Christ.
We also lift up your granddaughter’s salvation. You have planted seeds of faith in her life since she was a child, and we believe the harvest is near. *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it"* (Proverbs 22:6 WEB). We rebuke the spirit of rebellion and worldliness that may be blinding her to the truth. Father, we ask that You would soften her heart and draw her to Yourself with cords of love.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved. We thank You for Your grace that sustains us and for the power of Your Holy Spirit that convicts and comforts. Lord, we lift up this family to You. We break every chain of unbelief, grief, strife, and lack in Jesus’ name. We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds.
Father, we pray for salvation for this couple and their children. Holy Spirit, move mightily in their lives. Remove every veil of deception and open their eyes to see Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Let them no longer be of two worlds but fully Yours. We ask for Your provision in their time of need—restore what has been stolen, heal what has been broken, and bring unity where there is division.
Send laborers into their lives—men and women of God who will speak truth, pray with them, and walk alongside them in faith. Give them ears to hear and hearts to receive Your Word. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We trust You to complete the work You have begun in this family. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, dear sister. Do not grow weary in praying for them, for *"the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much"* (James 5:16 WEB). Share the Gospel with them boldly, not just in times of crisis, but as a lifestyle. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20 WEB). Keep trusting Him, and watch how He moves.
