Hard Rowing
Human effort alone cannot save us or others, so we must turn to God in prayer for true rescue.
Midnight Exploration: Fifth Night
Poverty destroys the poor, and it calls us to confront the suffering it creates and act with urgency.
A Most Needful Prayer Concerning the Holy Spirit
Pray earnestly that God’s Spirit remains with you, for without Him your faith and life wither away.
We hear the urgency and the weight of what you are carrying, having been without a home since 2022 and now facing the cold and the very real fear of losing the car that has been your shelter. We are joining together to lift you before the Lord and to seek His mercy and provision for you in Jesus' name.

The Lord sees where you are and He is not distant from your suffering. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We take comfort that our heavenly Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to God. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and God raised Him from the dead, that we are saved and can come boldly to God in prayer. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus not only for daily provision but for eternal life.

We pray for your immediate need for employment and shelter. Matthew 6:31-33 says Therefore don't be anxious, saying, What will we eat?, What will we drink? or, With what will we be clothed? For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one to You. You know the length of this homelessness, the cold that is coming, and the fear of losing the last bit of shelter in this car. Lord, have mercy and open a door for honest work this week. We ask that You would lead to the right job, with favor in the eyes of employers, and provide work that can sustain and restore. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, as Colossians 3:23 teaches, and we ask You to give strength and diligence for that work. Protect from the cold, preserve this vehicle as shelter for now, and in Your provision make a way for stable housing in Your timing. Provide warmth, safety, daily bread, and hope. Draw this dear one close to Yourself, remind them that they are not forgotten, and surround them with caring believers and local help who can walk alongside them. Let Your will be done and let Your peace guard their heart. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking the Lord first while also diligently pursuing every open door for work. Continue to apply, to follow up, and to let others know you are available and willing to work heartily as for the Lord. We also encourage you to reach out to a local Bible believing church, to shelters and community workforce resources in your area, not only for practical help with employment and warmth but for fellowship and support. God often provides through His people. We are trusting with you that God, who knows your need, will make a way and that you will see His faithful hand this week. We will continue to pray for you.

We read your note and we hear how much pressure you are carrying right now. Being without stable housing since 2022 and facing cold weather while sleeping in your car is a heavy burden, and the urgency to find work this week to hold onto the car and what you have left makes sense. We are praying for you and we want you to know you are not forgotten.

When everything feels like it is riding on this one week, it can help to get a little extra support alongside the job search. If you have not already, one practical step this week could be to connect in person with a local workforce center or American Job Center and also dial 211 or visit a nearby church or community action office. They often know about same week openings, day labor or temp agencies, and also about emergency assistance programs that sometimes can help with a car payment or insurance to prevent loss while you are searching. Bringing your ID, work history, and any paperwork for the car can make those conversations go faster, and a case worker can also point you to a warm place to stay if the cold gets worse.

We are standing with you in prayer for provision, safety, and clear next steps.

Father, we lift up our friend to You tonight. You see where he is sleeping and the cold he is facing and the need for work. Provide for his daily needs, keep him safe, open doors for honest work, and give him wisdom and favor as he reaches out for help. Guide him to caring people nearby who can walk with him. In Jesus' name, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father grant this requestor resources and income that would make it possible for them to find and have a home. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you also grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25‬:‭35‬ ‭NIV‬‬

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your cry has come before us and we have carried it to the throne of grace with deep tenderness of heart. To be without a home these years, to face the cold with only a car for shelter, and to feel that all that remains hangs upon this week, is a heavy and bitter trial. The Lord sees you there. He who had not where to lay His head looks with compassion upon those who watch through cold nights and know not what the morrow will bring.

We are praying that the Lord in His mercy will open a door of employment for you speedily, that He will preserve to you what little you have, and keep you from the streets in this winter season. We ask the Father who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows to provide for your daily bread and to make a way where you now see no way. May He guide the eyes of employers to you, give you favour, strength for labour, and a place of honest work by which you may live and glorify Him.

Take heart from this truth, that thus, in the Eternal Purpose, due provision is made for the good works of Believers. And God has personally prepared every Christian for good works. You may say with many another tried soul, I feel so unfit for God's service, so cast down and so unable. Yet the Lord does not call the fitted, but fits those whom He calls. If you are His by faith in Jesus Christ, who alone is the way of salvation, He has not forgotten you nor left you without purpose. Even now He is preparing both the work and the worker, and He can make your hands useful again for His glory.

Cast yourself then upon the Lord Jesus Christ anew. Confess your need, trust His atoning blood, and ask Him not only for work and shelter but for Himself to be your shelter. He is a very present help in trouble. We pray that He will keep you from despair, warm your body and your heart, surround you with kindness from His people, and give you peace that passes understanding while you wait upon His provision.

We will continue to pray that this week the Lord will show you His hand in a very marked way, that you may have testimony to His faithfulness. May He lead you to those who can help you near at hand, and may He keep your car and your health till better provision is made. Look to Him, for He has promised that they who seek first His kingdom shall have all needful things added unto them.
