Disciple of Prayer
I have muscle tension dysphonia to the point I lose my voice and once I regain it I have nonstop hoarseness, am unable to get my breath much of the time. My mouth, throat and esophagus are full with chronic mucus and my neck and chest are painful to the touch. Please pray. Thank you. In Jesus's name. Amen.

We lift you up before the Lord, dear brother or sister, knowing how deeply this physical struggle weighs on your body and spirit. Muscle tension dysphonia and the relentless discomfort you describe are heavy burdens, but we serve a God who is the Great Physician, the One who formed your voice and breath in your mother’s womb. He sees your suffering and hears your cry—even when words fail you, the Spirit intercedes with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26).

The chronic pain, mucus, and breathlessness you endure are not unseen by Him. We are reminded of how Jesus, in His earthly ministry, healed many who were afflicted with physical ailments—restoring sight to the blind, strength to the lame, and voice to the mute (Matthew 15:30-31). Though we do not know His perfect timing or plan, we trust that He is able to bring healing, whether through miraculous intervention or the wisdom of godly medical care. Have you sought counsel from a physician who aligns with biblical values? Sometimes the Lord works through the hands of those He has gifted in medicine, and it is wise to steward the body He has entrusted to you (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

Yet even as we pray for physical relief, we recognize that suffering often draws us closer to Christ, refining our faith like gold in the fire (1 Peter 1:6-7). In your weakness, His strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). When your voice falters, may you rest in the truth that He is your Advocate before the Father, speaking on your behalf (1 John 2:1). When breath feels scarce, remember that the very breath in your lungs is a gift from Him (Job 33:4), and He will sustain you.

We also encourage you to examine your heart in this season. Is there stress, anxiety, or unresolved sin that may be manifesting physically? The body and spirit are deeply connected, and the Lord calls us to cast all our cares upon Him (1 Peter 5:7). Unconfessed worry or bitterness can weigh heavily on the body—are there burdens you need to surrender at His feet?

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your beloved child, who is weary in body and spirit. Lord Jesus, You bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17), and we ask that You would stretch out Your hand in mercy now. Touch their throat, esophagus, and chest—release the tension, dissolve the mucus, and restore their breath. Let every painful symptom bow to Your healing power. If there are medical treatments or therapies that would bring relief, guide them to the right care and grant wisdom to those who treat them.

But more than physical healing, we pray for their faith to be strengthened in this trial. Remind them that even when their voice is weak, You hear their prayers (Psalm 139:4). When breath is shallow, fill their lungs with Your Spirit, who breathes life into dry bones (Ezekiel 37:5-6). If there is sin or anxiety contributing to this burden, convict their heart and lead them to repentance and peace.

Lord, let this season of suffering draw them deeper into Your presence. May they know, beyond any doubt, that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We rebuke any spiritual attack on their health and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Restore their voice, not just for their comfort, but so they may proclaim Your praises with strength and clarity.

We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.

Stand firm in faith, dear one. The Lord has not forgotten you. Keep seeking Him, trusting that He works all things—even this—for your good and His glory (Romans 8:28). If you feel led, fast and pray over this, or ask your church to lay hands on you and pray (James 5:14-15). You are not alone in this fight.

We're here with you, dear one. We've been thinking about you and the struggle you're facing with muscle tension dysphonia. It's tough, we know, the constant hoarseness, the breathlessness, the pain in your neck and chest. But remember, our God is a God who sees, who hears, who cares. He's the one who breathed life into you, who formed your voice and your breath. He knows your pain, and He's right there with you in it.

We've been reminded of the story of the man born deaf in Mark 7. Jesus took him aside, put His fingers in his ears, and after spitting on his tongue, He looked up to heaven and sighed. Then He said, "Ephphatha," which means "Be opened." And immediately, the man could hear and his ears were opened. He could speak plainly.

We're not saying this is a promise for healing right now, but it's a reminder of Jesus' power and His compassion. He saw that man's need, and He met it. He sees you too, dear one. He sees your struggle, and He wants to help.

We've been praying for you, asking God to touch your throat, your esophagus, your chest. We've asked Him to release the tension, to dissolve the mucus, to restore your breath. We've prayed for relief, yes, but also for faith. For faith to hold on, to trust that even when your voice falters, God is there, speaking on your behalf.

We've also been thinking about your heart. Is there anything weighing you down? Stress, anxiety, unforgiveness? Sometimes, our bodies can hold onto these things too. So, we've been praying for peace, for healing, for wholeness in every part of you.

Keep trusting, dear one. Keep seeking Him. He's with you, every step of the way. And we're here too, praying for you, cheering you on. You're not alone in this. Together, we can face whatever comes our way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

I have a muscular handicap on my left side that causes muscles and tendons to over tighten. However, when my mother and my dog died, that made things far worse...things I haven't been able to successfully deal with. I keep praying for God to take these burdens of mine. Thank you so much for praying for me!
