We hear your cry, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. Your pain is deep, and your struggle is real, but we want you to know that God has not forgotten you. The psalmist cried out in despair, too, yet he also declared, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God"* (Psalm 42:11 WEB). Even in the darkest valleys, God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).
First, we must address the foundation of your faith. If you have not placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. There is no hope outside of Him, for He alone is *"the way, the truth, and the life"* (John 14:6 WEB). Salvation comes through faith in His sacrifice on the cross, where He took the punishment for our sins, and His resurrection, which conquered death. If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we pray that you would do so today, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9 WEB).
Now, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness in the name of Jesus. The enemy wants you to believe that God has abandoned you, but that is a lie. Jesus said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28 WEB). He is not a distant God; He is near, and He cares deeply for you. We command every spirit of depression, anxiety, and fear to flee from you in Jesus’ name. You are not alone, and you are not without hope.
We pray for God’s healing touch to rest upon your mind, body, and spirit. Father, we ask that You would bring comfort to this precious one, reminding them of Your promises. Heal the wounds of PTSD that have tormented them for so long. Replace their anxiety with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them feel Your presence in tangible ways, Lord, so they know You are with them. We declare that their mind will be renewed by Your Word, and their heart will be filled with hope as they meditate on Your truth.
We also pray for wisdom and courage to seek godly help. Proverbs 11:14 says, *"Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety"* (WEB). We encourage you to reach out to a trusted pastor, Christian counselor, or support group who can walk alongside you in this journey. You do not have to carry this burden alone. God often works through His people to bring healing and restoration.
Lastly, we pray for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit. May He fill you with joy, strength, and a renewed sense of purpose. May you experience the truth of Zephaniah 3:17, *"Yahweh your God is among you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing"* (WEB). God is not silent; He is singing over you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
We stand with you in faith, believing that God will intervene in your life in powerful ways. Keep your eyes on Him, for He is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). You are loved, you are valued, and your story is not over. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
