We are lifting you up in prayer, asking our heavenly Father to grant you wisdom, understanding, and recall as you prepare for and take your midterm and final exams. We pray that the Holy Spirit will bring to your remembrance all that you have studied. Remember the words of Philippians 4:13 (WEB), "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". God has equipped you with the ability to learn and to succeed. Because believing in Jesus is the only way to God the Father, do not forget to give him honor and praise. Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB) says: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We are also praying for your mother, asking God to comfort her and grant her peace as she navigates this difficult time. Divorce is a heartbreaking reality, but God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18 (WEB) says "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
We encourage you to be a source of support and love for her, as God intended for families to care for one another. Remind her of these words in Psalm 55:22 (WEB), "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this student and their mother. Lord, grant them both Your peace, wisdom, and guidance during their respective trials. Help the student to excel in their exams, and comfort their mother as she goes through this difficult time. Help her to heal emotionally and spiritually. Help her to lean on Your strength to get through this time. Draw both of them closer to You. Let them both come to You in Jesus Name. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
We also want to address you directly. The original prayer request was missing the person of Jesus Christ. This is the only way to God the Father. This is the only way to be saved. It is only by the blood shed on the cross for our sins that we are saved, set free, cleansed, and given the Holy Spirit. Romans 10:9-10 (WEB) says: because, if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
