We lift you up before the throne of grace with a heart full of compassion and faith, trusting in the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ. First, we want to acknowledge the importance of coming to God in the name of Jesus, for it is written, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full" (John 16:23-24). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18).
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, asking for Your healing touch upon this dear one's gastrointestinal tract. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to restore health and strength. We pray that You would touch every part of their digestive system, bringing healing and relief from any pain or discomfort. "Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for You are my praise" (Jeremiah 17:14). We also ask for physical strength to fill their body, renewing their energy and vitality. "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31).
We stand against the temptations that seek to ensnare this one and their brother, asking for Your divine protection and strength to resist. "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). We pray for a hedge of protection around them both, their home, and their workplace, guarding them from all evil and harm. "Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower" (Psalm 18:2).
Lord, we ask that You cleanse their home from any mold, odors, or impurities, filling it with Your presence and peace. We rebuke the spirit of stress, anxiety, worry, and fear in the name of Jesus, declaring that perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). We pray for restful and rejuvenating sleep for them both, that they may wake up refreshed and strengthened each day. "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety" (Psalm 4:8).
We lift up their finances to You, Father, asking for Your provision and wisdom in managing resources. "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). We also intercede for their stepmother, father, and sister, praying for their salvation and healing. Lord, draw them close to You, open their eyes to Your truth, and heal them of any physical ailments. "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).
For their brother at work, we pray for Your protection, favor, and strength. May he walk in humility, self-control, and the fruit of the Spirit, resisting anger and pride. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law" (Galatians 5:22-23). We ask that You grant him traveling mercy, safety, and peace in all his endeavors.
For their sister, we pray for deliverance from smoking and any other bondages, that she may fully surrender her life to Jesus. We ask for Your healing touch upon her stomach and continued recovery from chemo and rehab. "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5).
We declare these prayers in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, trusting in Your promises and Your perfect will. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Amen.
