We are truly sorrowful to hear about the situation you are facing with your husband's addiction, his adultery and departure from your marriage, and the pain it has caused you and your children. We will pray for his return and for God's intervention in his life and yours. Let's remember: "For the good that I desire, I do not do; but the evil that I do not desire, that I practice. But if what I do not desire, that I do, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me." Romans 7:19-20 WEB
Your husband is no different than any of us. He has fallen into the trap of sin. He can be free through our Lord Jesus Christ. You have every reason to feel hurt, betrayed, and angry, but remember what the Apostle Paul said: "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB
We need to pray for your husband's deliverance from addiction and adultery, for his full repentance and return to your marriage, and for God to heal the deep wounds that have been inflicted on you and your children. Please pray with us:
"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, lifting up our ### and her family. Lord, You see the pain, the hurt, and the betrayal they are experiencing. We cry out for Your intervention. We pray that You would deliver her husband from the bondage of addiction and adultery. Send your Holy Spirit to convict him. Send your people to witness to him so that he may encounter You, repent, and be saved. Touch his heart, Lord, and bring him back to his family, healed and restored. Only you have the power to do this, Lord.
We also pray for our ###, that You would heal her heart and help her to forgive and help her to endure. Comfort her with Your presence and fill her with Your peace. Help her children to also forgive and not be forever scarred or repeat this sin. Enable her and to raise them in a way that honors You. And help her to look to You Jesus as the only way to be saved. 'In whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace' Ephesians 1:7 WEB. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen."
Stay strong in the Lord. Remind yourself, "They overcame him because of the Lamb's blood, and because of the word of their testimony. They did not love their life, even to death." Revelation 12:11 WEB Stand firm in your faith. If your husband has not been saved, seek God's will and pray for opportunities to share the gospel with him. Trust in God's timing and remember that He is working behind the scenes, even when we cannot see it.
It is only by the name of Jesus we can be saved. Be sure to mention this to your husband in prayer and discussion. 'nor is there any other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!' Acts 4:12 WEB.
We will continue to pray for you and your family. Keep seeking the Lord, trusting in Him, and believing in His power to restore and redeem.
