Disciple of Prayer
Lord please forgive me for I fibbed today please, I have another appt for a MRI I panicked with the one today I’m so sorry Lord and please take away this headache please Lord and please I pray for relief of this headache and mercy please watch over me and my family tonight in Jesus name I pray AMEN!! I’m Sorry Lord!!

We join you in bringing this before the Lord and we thank you for your honest confession. We hear your sorrow over fibbing today and your panic about the MRI, and we hear your cry for relief from this headache and for mercy and protection over you and your family tonight.

We want to gently address the fib, because God calls us to truthfulness. His Word says Ephesians 4:25 Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor, and Colossians 3:9 Don't lie to one another. Even a small fib grieves the Lord and can weigh heavily on our conscience, but we rejoice that when we confess, God is merciful to forgive. 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We encourage you, if your fib involved misleading the clinic or staff about the MRI, to make it right as soon as you are able by simply telling the truth, so your conscience may be clear before God and man. The Lord honors a repentant heart.

We also understand the panic you felt. Medical tests, especially an MRI, can stir up great anxiety and fear, and headaches only add to that distress. God does not want you to live in fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, and Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Psalm 34:4 also reminds us I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. We encourage you to bring that panic to Him, to breathe and pray before and during your next appointment, and if helpful to bring a trusted family member or friend with you and to let the technicians know you feel anxious so they can help you through it.

We also lift up your headache to the Lord who is our healer. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We ask Him to have mercy and bring relief according to His will, and to give you rest tonight. Psalm 121:7-8 says Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore. We trust Him to watch over you and your family through the night.

We pray together now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You with a repentant and hurting heart. We confess the untruth spoken today and we thank You that You are faithful to forgive when we confess. Cleanse this heart and help us to walk in truth and integrity. Lord, have mercy and touch this headache, bring relief and healing and calm the anxiety and panic that surrounds the MRI. Give peace that surpasses understanding, steady the nerves, and let Your presence be felt in the scanner and in the waiting. Grant wisdom to the doctors and technicians and guide the results for good. We ask You to watch over this dear one and the whole family tonight, keep them safe under Your wings, grant restful sleep and renewed strength. Help us to trust You more deeply and to seek You first in every fear. We thank You that we can come to You only through Jesus, and we rest in His grace and forgiveness. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We hear how heavy today has been for you, and we appreciate your honesty in bringing it straight to the Lord.

Panicking before an MRI is understandable, many people feel anxious in that machine, and feeling sorry afterward for not being fully truthful shows a tender conscience toward God. We are grateful you turned to Him so quickly. He sees your heart and hears you when you come to Him honestly.

That headache sounds draining, especially on top of the stress of the appointment. Alongside prayer, we encourage you to let your doctor or clinic know about the headache and about the panic you felt today, so they can advise you and help make the next MRI more manageable. You don't have to carry the worry about the next appointment alone, the staff can often offer ways to help you feel calmer and know what to expect.

We are also praying for rest and peace for you and your family tonight.

Father, thank You for hearing us when we come to You honestly. We bring our brother or sister to You tonight and ask for Your mercy and forgiveness through Jesus, for comfort in place of guilt, and for relief from this headache according to Your will. Give wisdom to the doctors, peace for the next appointment, and watch over this family as they rest. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

There is forgiveness with God, and your honest confession has come to the right place, for it is with Him that forgiveness is found.

You have done well to make a clean breast of it before the Lord, for confession must come before absolution. You say, I fibbed, I panicked, I am sorry. Hear the gentle whisper from the lips of love, But there is forgiveness. It is a divine forgiveness, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions, and it is a surprising forgiveness and a complete forgiveness. He has no buts in His forgiveness. When you truly confess your sin and look to Christ on Calvary, who died the Just for the unjust to bring us to God, your sin is put away. Do as Luther did when in dark distress and believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself, through Jesus Christ alone. He will in no wise cast out any that come to Him. That forgiveness is not for a moment only but is absolute and eternal, and having received it you are called to walk in truthfulness from this hour, speaking the truth in love and, where you are able, setting right what was said amiss.

Your panic and anxiety about the MRI is also known to Him. Our Saviour would have us not be in a state of worry and fretfulness, for anxiety does not pay, it does not bring comfort nor strength, and it unfits us to meet the difficulty. Be prudent and careful, yet cast your care upon Him, for He careth for you. He sees the appointment before you and the fear that seized you today, and He is able to quiet your spirit as you trust Him.

You ask also for relief from this headache and for mercy. Healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction in Scripture. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. When Jesus healed the man sick of the palsy He first said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins be forgiven thee, and pardon and healing were one. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and when the Sun of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings, His people shall not say, I am sick. We may therefore bring both soul and body to Him and ask for His mercy.

Let us pray together. O Lord, forgive this sin of the lips as it is confessed before Thee, and grant the assurance of Thy complete forgiveness through the blood of Christ. Take away anxious fear and give a calm and trusting heart for the MRI that lies ahead. Lay Thy healing hand upon this aching head and grant relief according to Thy gracious will. Watch over this dear one and over the family tonight, keep them in Thy mercy, and help them to walk in truth and holiness before Thee. In Jesus name we ask it, Amen.

May the Lord forgive her, ease her headache, grant her mercy, and watch over her and her family tonight in Jesus' name.
