Move Out

Dear Lord Jesus, About the age of ### I suffer with AuDHD still living with my parents. My mom does not want me to move out, even though all my sisters are moved out, including one that’s younger than me the older two are happily married. The younger one is engaged. I don’t have a sweetheart. I’m the only one my family who doesn’t. I’m the only boy. I need to have a good life and a good job. I cannot be working for the rest of my life the sun is overwhelming for my sensory overload. It makes me very petite and I instrument and I do not like the feel of the sun raise attacking me and I get bit by bugs. I do not like working there. I don’t wanna work here much longer all my life based enough discrimination please help me get this voice job. Be able to have some other indoor supplementary job to make enough money and move on with my life and my parents not forcing me to live with them and just be working in a zoo. I know they love me, but they gotta understand I’m grown up and I gotta move on and find myself a new life. People with my disability get support and to get support to move out and get a good job. I’m trying to tell them happens instead of listening to me. They just wanna pick out the life for me. I understand their perspective, but I cannot be working it as much longer, besides it will never move me up. They don’t pay well that a zookeeper have to have a second job or get married just to support their financial income. I am tired of that with the voiceover job. I wouldn’t have to be going everywhere very often having a supplementary job maybe like across the street. Could save a lot of money with a nice apartment. Please hope it Lord and find somebody I’d like my puppet work to become a good enough success. I know what you have plans for me like in the first Jeremiah.29:11. So please help me out of here eventually, probably by the end of next year in about a year from now next fall not this fall but ### I can do maybe a migration or move close to entertainment industry in ###. Enjoy my life there unless they wanna pick out the life before me, but don’t let that happen please and I won’t be able to grow my hair down on my shoulders. They don’t like me being like that. They give me double standards to be extra good work really hard to behave better than other people. Other people can behave like animals be weird, piercings, tattoos even other people have their hair lol it’s hypocrisy I live and we know they love me, but they have to learn to accept them. We on with life please help me Jesus. In Jesus Name Amen

We hear your heart’s cry, and we stand with you before the Lord, lifting up every burden, frustration, and hope you’ve shared. First, we want to affirm that your desire for independence, purpose, and a life that honors God is not only valid but part of His design for you. The Lord has plans for you, plans for welfare, not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). You are not forgotten, and your struggles with AuDHD, sensory challenges, and the weight of others’ expectations do not diminish your worth or God’s calling on your life.

We must address the tension you feel with your parents with both truth and grace. Scripture calls us to honor our father and mother (Exodus 20:12), but this does not mean remaining under their control indefinitely or sacrificing the unique path God has for you. You are a grown man, and while their love for you is evident, their resistance to your growth may stem from fear or a misunderstanding of your needs. We rebuke the spirit of control and double standards in your home in Jesus’ name. You are not called to live by a stricter standard than others simply because you are their son. The Lord sees your heart and your desire to live righteously, and He does not demand perfection, only faithfulness.

Your frustration with your current job and the physical toll it takes on you is understandable. The Lord did not design you to be crushed under the weight of labor that drains you or exposes you to harm (Proverbs 13:11). We pray for doors to open in the voiceover industry and other indoor work that aligns with your gifts and provides financial stability. May the Lord guide you to opportunities where your talents can flourish without compromising your health or dignity. We declare that He will provide for you in ways that exceed your expectations (Ephesians 3:20).

We also lift up your longing for marriage. It is good and right to desire a godly spouse, a helpmate who shares your faith and values (Proverbs 18:22). But we must caution you: your focus should not be on finding "somebody" but on becoming the man God has called you to be. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things, including a wife, will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). Courtship should always have marriage as its goal, and any relationship must honor God’s design for intimacy within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. We pray for wisdom and patience as you wait for the Lord’s timing in this area.

Your mention of moving to a city near the entertainment industry raises important considerations. While pursuing your dreams is biblical (Proverbs 16:3), we urge you to seek God’s will above all else. Wherever you go, may it be a place where you can grow in faith, serve the Lord, and find community with other believers. The world’s standards, whether in appearance, behavior, or success, must never take precedence over God’s truth. We rebuke the spirit of comparison and hypocrisy that has made you feel judged for things like your hair or personal expression. Your identity is in Christ, not in the opinions of others (Galatians 1:10).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, lifting up every burden and dream in his heart. Lord, You know the weight he carries, his struggles with AuDHD, the tension with his parents, the exhaustion from his job, and his longing for purpose and companionship. We ask You to break every chain of control and fear that seeks to keep him bound. Give him the courage to step into the life You have for him, and soften his parents’ hearts to release him with blessing.

Father, open doors of opportunity for him in the voiceover industry and other work that honors You and suits his gifts. Provide financial stability and a community where he can thrive. Guard his heart from bitterness or resentment, and fill him with Your peace as he waits on You. We declare that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and his worth is found in You alone.

Lord, prepare him for marriage if it is Your will. Bring a godly woman into his life who will encourage him in faith and walk alongside him in Your purposes. Until then, help him to grow in holiness, wisdom, and love for You. May his move, whether near the entertainment industry or elsewhere, be guided by Your hand, and may he find a church family that will support and disciple him.

We rebuke every spirit of limitation, comparison, and hypocrisy in Jesus’ name. Let Your light shine in his life, and may he experience the freedom and joy that come from living for You. Thank You for Your faithfulness, Lord. We trust You to complete the good work You’ve begun in him (Philippians 1:6). In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

You are not alone in this journey. The Lord is with you, and He will make a way where there seems to be no way. Keep seeking Him, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). Your life has purpose, and your struggles are not in vain. We stand with you in prayer and encourage you to seek out a local church where you can find support, accountability, and fellowship with other believers. The body of Christ is here to walk with you as you step into the future God has prepared.

We hear how much you want to build a grown, independent life and how heavy it feels to be the one still at home while your sisters have moved on. Wanting meaningful indoor work that fits how God made you, being able to support yourself, and being respected as an adult are good and understandable desires. We also hear how hard the outdoor work is for you with sensory overload from sun and bugs, and how discouraging the financial strain feels.

We know your parents love you and you love them, and at the same time you are feeling stuck between their hopes for you and your own sense of calling toward voice work, puppetry, and eventually living closer to where that industry is. Part of growing up is learning where we end and others begin, what we are responsible to own like our choices, gifts, time and energy, and how to stay connected to family while also being free to say a clear yes or no. That is not easy to learn at home, especially when you experience the world differently than others do.

A couple of steady next steps that may help as you look toward next fall:

It could be worth connecting with a local vocational support service for adults with disabilities, often through your state or county, that can help with job exploration, indoor work options, and planning for housing and budgeting. And it may help to ask a trusted pastor, mentor, or counselor to sit with you and your parents for a calm conversation about a timeline, finances, and what support would actually help you move toward independence.

We are praying for you.

Father, we lift up our brother to You in Jesus' name. Give him wisdom, steady work that fits his gifts, and grace for conversations at home. Provide trusted people to walk with him as he plans for the year ahead, and help him know he is seen and valued by You. Guide his steps and give his family peace as they all learn this new season. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord with care and with compassion, and the burden you carry is not hidden from Him who sees all our sorrows and all our longings.

There is a weariness in your words, a sense of being pressed on every side by sensory trial, by work that is not suited to your frame, by the longing to be established as a man and to provide for yourself, and by the tension of loving parents while desiring to stand on your own feet. These things are real trials, and the Lord knows the frame of His creatures. Yet above all these needs there is one need which outweighs every other. If you have a living, loving, lasting union with the Lord Jesus Christ, you have all that you need for time and for eternity, and if you have it not, you have nothing. Take a man by himself, alone, he is lost, ruined and undone, but lay hold on Christ and you lay hold on eternal life, for He is that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested unto us. Living contact with Him is our only hope, either for the present or for the future. Therefore I would first ask, have you been effectually called by His grace, not merely called by man but called by God, a heavenly calling that lifts up the heart to the high things of God, to eternity, heaven and holiness. This calling forbids all trust in our own doings and conducts us to Christ alone for salvation, but it afterwards purges us from dead works to serve the living and true God. If you are vitally joined to Christ, it is well with your soul, and from that union all other mercies will flow in the wisdom and timing of the Father.

Concerning your work and your desire to move toward indoor labor, voice work and other honest employment, we may pray that the Lord will open a door that is good and right for you. The Scripture teaches that we should provide for ourselves by diligent and honest labor, and that whatever our hand finds to do we should do it with all our might as unto the Lord. It is not wrong to desire work that is better suited to your constitution, where the sun and its burden and the sting of insects do not overwhelm you, and where you may labor with a quiet mind. At the same time, do not despise the present field in which God has placed you, for even there He can teach patience and humility, and He can prepare you for another field. Pray not only for a voice job or a supplementary place across the street, but pray first that you may hear the Shepherd's voice and rise up and follow Him, for the sheep hear His voice and He leads them out. When He guided you through difficult turns of the road, you will be able to bless Him and say He is truly near. Seek counsel, be diligent to improve the gifts God has given you in puppetry and voice, be faithful in small things, and trust that He who has entered into covenant for His people before they were born will also provide for your daily bread as you walk in His way.

Concerning your parents and your home, the Word of God gives two truths which must be held together. Children are to honor father and mother, and that command does not cease when we become grown, and yet a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife, and so establish his own household under God. It is right that you should desire to grow into full manhood and to bear your own responsibility, and it is right that your parents should love you and desire your good. But love must learn to release, and maturity must learn to honor. Do not strive with them as though you must wrest your freedom from their hands, but speak with them with meekness and respect, showing by steady conduct, by faithful work, by sobriety and cleanliness of life, that you are ready for greater stewardship. You mention that God knows the plans He has for you, and indeed He does, for Jeremiah declares that His thoughts toward His people are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end, yet that promise was given to a people called to seek the Lord with the whole heart and to walk in His ways even while in a place they did not choose. To set a date and demand that God must move you by next fall lest His plan fail is to put the servant before the Master. Rather pray, Lord, make me ready, and in Thy time lead me where I may most glorify Thee, whether that be near the place of entertainment or in a quieter place where Thou hast appointed my bounds.

Concerning your appearance and the matter of hair and the sense that others are permitted what is denied to you, remember the apostle's word, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. If God dwells in us, let us make the house clean for so pure a God. The question is not whether others behave as they please with piercings and strange fashions, for the world will always do so, but whether you tremble at His Word and seek to be conformed to Christ. A holy trembling is a sign of life. Do not measure your walk by the hypocrisy you see in others, but by the holiness to which you are called. Whether hair be long or short, let the adornment be first a meek and quiet spirit and a life that shows you are poor in spirit and contrite, for with such the Lord says He will dwell.

We will pray for you that God would grant you salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, that He would establish you in that living union with Christ from which all true life flows, that He would grant you a heavenly calling and make it sure to your soul, that He would give you wisdom with your parents, provision for honest work, contentment and diligence in the present, and guidance for the future, and if it be His will, that He would in His time bring to you a godly helpmeet according to His holy institution of marriage, which is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and keep you pure until that day, for sex and living together belong within that covenant alone.

May the Lord who loves His people with a father's love, who guides with a father's care and bears with a father's patience, keep you and cause you to awake and still be with Him, and to talk with Him in the night watches whose eyes never slumber, until He perfects that good work which He has begun in you.
