Mother

We join with you as a mother carrying a heavy burden for your loved one and all your loved ones who are struggling with mental illness, and we lift them up together before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name. Our hearts ache with you, for we know how deeply a mother loves and intercedes, and we know that God sees every tear and hears every prayer offered in faith.

We take comfort in knowing that the Lord is close to those who suffer in mind and spirit. Scripture tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We cling to His promise that we should in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We also remember Fear not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

We notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. To be set free in the deepest sense, we must first be reconciled to God through faith in Jesus, who died for our sins and rose again, and when we call upon His name in repentance and belief, we are forgiven and made new. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Him, and to bring every prayer before God in the name of Jesus.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear mother and her loved one and all her loved ones who are afflicted with mental illness. Lord, You know each one by name, You know their struggles, their thoughts, their sleepless nights and their moments of despair. We ask for Your healing touch upon their minds and hearts, for Your peace to guard them, for Your light to break through darkness and confusion. Grant them soundness of mind, rest, hope, and the assurance of Your love. Comfort this mother, strengthen her as she intercedes, and remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. Lead this family to godly counsel, to wise and compassionate help, and to a community of believers who will support and bear their burdens. Above all, draw each one closer to Jesus, that they may know the freedom and wholeness that comes only from Him. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring them before the Lord daily, trusting not in our own strength but in His unfailing love. Continue to speak Scripture over them, to remind them of God's presence and promises, and do not hesitate to seek godly counsel and appropriate medical and professional support alongside prayer, for God often works through those means to bring healing. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. We are standing with you in prayer, believing that God who is faithful will sustain you and your loved ones, and will bring peace and restoration according to His perfect will.

We are holding you and your family in prayer, and we hear the weight you carry as a mother wanting freedom and peace for those you love.

Loving people through ongoing mental health struggles can be exhausting and lonely. It is understandable to feel helpless at times and to wonder how to keep going while you care so deeply. Please know you do not have to carry this alone. God sees your faithful love, and He also sees your own need for rest and support.

Alongside prayer, it can help to have steady support around you. If your loved ones are not already connected to care, gently encouraging them toward a trusted doctor, counselor or pastor can be a loving next step, and it is also important that you have someone to talk with, a pastor, small group or trusted friend who can walk with you and pray with you regularly.

We are praying with you.

Father, we lift this mother and each of her loved ones to You. You know their struggles and their needs more deeply than we do. Bring Your comfort, wisdom and presence to this family, guide them to helpful care and support, and sustain this mother with strength and peace day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your cry for your mother and for all your loved ones who suffer under the heavy burden of mental affliction, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace.

There is no sorrow of the mind and no wound of the heart that is hidden from our God. He is not deaf to the cries of His people, and His arm is not shortened that it cannot save. The Scripture declares that He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, and that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. Even the least thing about Christ has healing virtue, and His blood is the ransom which God Himself has found and provided for poor sinners who feel themselves going down to the pit.

We pray that the Sun of Righteousness would rise upon your mother and upon each one you love, with healing beneath His wings, and that He would grant deliverance from this cruel captivity. We ask the Lord to lift the darkness, to calm the troubled thoughts, to restore peace to the mind and strength to the spirit, and to make His grace known as the true freedom wherein obedience becomes liberty and the soul walks erect in God given wholeness.

We pray also that in the midst of this trial you and your loved ones would look continually to Jesus Christ alone, for there is life in a look at the Crucified One, and in His wounds there is healing and in His death there is life. Where sin and sorrow have brought bitterness, may repentance and faith bring pardon and healing together, for when the Lord comes to dwell with His people, pardon and healing are one.

May the Lord in His tender indulgence toward the least and feeblest of His family, magnify His choice favor upon your household. May He whisper assurance in trial that you shall not be crushed, and may He bring you forth into an enlarged place to declare the works of the Lord. We commit you all to Him who alone can deliver effectually, trusting not in our own power but in His free grace and abundant mercy.

We will continue to bear you up in prayer, asking our heavenly Father to grant comfort, steady hope, wise and compassionate help, and that perfect peace which comes from trusting in Christ. Amen.

Your request has been received with compassion and we are joining you in prayer for your child and all your loved ones who are struggling with mental illness.

We know how heavy this burden can feel for a mother who loves her family deeply. God sees your care and your faithfulness in bringing them before Him. Even when we feel we are near the point of perishing, Scripture shows us that God devises a way of grace to rescue us, so that our creation would not be in vain. He is near to those who suffer and He hears the prayers offered in faith through Jesus Christ, our only hope of salvation.

In times of affliction it is easy to grow weary or dull in hearing, but we are exhorted not to become slothful, but to remain earnest. Continue to search the Scriptures, not carelessly but with exactness and continual recollection, for there we learn right doctrine and find nourishment for a perfect life. Even to sit and hear the Word with reverence, to speak with God and hear God speak in the Scriptures, brings profit to the soul, even when we do not feel it at once. As one who passes by an ointment shop carries the perfume without knowing it, so the soul that dwells near the Word and near the fellowship of the church is quietly strengthened. Do not shun gathering with believers, praying, and hearing the Word, even on difficult days. Fortitude and perseverance are part of our healing.

We also understand that affliction of the mind requires patient care. As physicians do not cease applying medicine while sickness remains, so we do not cease praying and seeking help. Do not be discouraged if fruit does not appear at once. A tree may receive many strokes before it bears fruit, and many prayers and many remedies may work together before full healing is seen. God can grant deliverance, and He also grants strength to endure and even to despise fear itself, fixing in our hearts the hope of His eternal life.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this mother, her child, and all her loved ones to You. You know their suffering and their needs more deeply than we do. We ask for Your mercy and healing upon their minds and hearts. Grant them freedom from torment, peace that guards their thoughts, and strength for each day. Comfort this mother and give her endurance, wisdom, and hope as she cares for those she loves. Lead them to the right help and support, surround them with faithful community, and keep them in Your Word. Above all, draw each one closer to Christ, that they may know Your grace and salvation. We trust Your goodness and Your power to restore. Amen.

We will continue to remember you and your family in prayer, asking God to bring healing, peace, and steadfast hope.
