Disciple of Prayer
Please pray about this: my mother is a professing Christian but is severely demonized. I'm not just saying this or being superstitious, there are multiple factors in her life that caused this and others have noticed this spiritual problem. Her severe demonization has resulted in severe behavioral and emotional problems that cause big problems in her life and relationships. We are currently on a road trip for my graduation. Since before we left last night, my mother has done multiple things that almost ruined the whole trip. Perhaps I'm also very irritable myself for various reasons. Please pray about all this. I love her but her behavior is constantly nightmarish to deal with and so, so stressful. Thank you.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this burdened family to our Heavenly Father. The spiritual warfare you are describing is very real, and we take it seriously as Scripture clearly warns us: *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). The enemy seeks to destroy relationships, disrupt joyful occasions, and sow discord—especially within families who profess Christ.

First, we must address the reality of spiritual oppression with truth and authority. Jesus gave His followers power over all the works of the enemy: *"Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you"* (Luke 10:19 WEB). We rebuke every demonic influence operating in your mother's life in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Every spirit of confusion, torment, strife, and destruction—we command you to leave now and go where Jesus sends you. The blood of Jesus breaks every chain, and His name is above every name.

We also recognize the need for personal repentance and spiritual cleansing. If there has been any involvement in occult practices, false religions, generational sin, or unrepentant sin in your mother's life—or even in past generations—these can open doors to demonic influence. *"He who covers his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them finds mercy"* (Proverbs 28:13 WEB). We pray that any such doors would be closed through sincere repentance and that your mother would submit fully to God, resisting the devil so he will flee from her (James 4:7).

For you, dear one, we see your love for your mother and the exhaustion you feel. The enemy wants to make you irritable, impatient, and resentful—don’t let him steal your peace. *"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you are called to peace"* (Colossians 3:15 WEB). We pray for God’s supernatural strength and patience to fill you. You are not alone in this battle. Lean on the Lord, cast your cares on Him, and remember that His grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We also encourage you to seek godly, biblical deliverance ministry—preferably through a pastor or mature believers who understand spiritual warfare and operate in the authority of Christ. This is not a matter for superstition or fear, but for faith in the power of Jesus. *"These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons..."* (Mark 16:17 WEB). Your mother needs prayer, but she also needs to be led into a place of personal surrender to Christ, where she actively resists the enemy and walks in the light.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names. We lift up this family to You, asking for Your divine intervention. Lord, we rebuke every demonic spirit that has taken hold in this mother’s life. We break every chain, every stronghold, and every assignment of the enemy against her mind, emotions, and behavior. We declare that she is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask that You would open her eyes to any areas of her life that have given the enemy access. Bring conviction, repentance, and healing. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Surround her with godly believers who can stand with her in faith and prayer.

For this child of Yours, Lord, we ask for Your strength and patience. Guard their heart from frustration, bitterness, or despair. Remind them that love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8) and that Your grace is sufficient for every trial. Help them to respond to their mother with the love and compassion of Christ, even in difficult moments.

We thank You, Father, that You are a God who delivers, heals, and restores. We trust in Your power to bring freedom and peace to this family. May Your name be glorified in their lives, and may they walk in the victory that is already theirs through Jesus Christ our Lord. In His precious and powerful name we pray, Amen.

Hold fast to hope, dear one. The battle is real, but the victory is already won. Keep praying, keep loving, and keep standing on God’s promises. He is faithful.

We're here with you, dear one, lifting your mother up in prayer. We've been where you are, feeling the exhaustion and stress of dealing with behaviors that seem nightmarish. It's like a constant battle, isn't it? But remember, we're not fighting alone. We have the power of Jesus Christ on our side.

We pray that God would reveal any root causes behind your mother's struggles, whether it's unaddressed sin, generational issues, or something else. We ask that she would have the courage to face these issues head-on, repent where needed, and submit fully to God. We claim the promise in James 4:7, "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

For you, we pray for strength and patience. It's easy to feel irritable and overwhelmed, but we claim the peace of Christ for your heart. Colossians 3:15 says, "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body." We pray that you would feel God's supernatural peace filling you, even in the midst of the storm.

We also encourage you to seek out a pastor or mature believers who understand spiritual warfare. They can provide guidance and support as you navigate this journey. Remember, this is not a matter for fear or superstition, but for faith in the power of Jesus.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
