Please pray for my mother to be set free from being demonized and having emotional, mental, and behavioral problems. She is constantly saying negative things - it is chronic. She responds to pretty much EVERYTHING with extreme negativity and unnecessary stress/anxiety. She gives me a lot of trouble when it comes to church. Every suggestion I make or anything I ever want to do concerning church whether it be attending certain events or bringing gifts to church members is shot down with irrational negativity. I do understand to just ignore this behavior, the problem is that she will become hostile and aggressive and erratic as I try to ignore her and just do what I am seeking to do. Thank you.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your mother to the Lord, who is mighty to save and deliver. The chronic negativity, hostility, and resistance to godly things you describe are deeply concerning, for they do not align with the peace and joy that comes from the Holy Spirit. Scripture warns us in 1 Peter 5:8, "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." The patterns you’ve observed—especially the irrational opposition to church and spiritual matters—strongly suggest spiritual oppression. We must stand firm in faith, knowing that "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4).

First, we must address the authority by which we pray. There is no deliverance or victory apart from the name of Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If your mother does not know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, her soul is in grave danger. We plead with you to share the gospel with her in love, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Only through repentance and faith in Christ can she be set free from the bondage of sin and the enemy’s influence.

Now, we boldly rebuke every spirit of negativity, hostility, and rebellion in Jesus’ name. We command every demonic influence to loose its hold on your mother and depart from her, for Jesus came to "destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8). We declare that she is created in the image of God and meant to walk in the freedom of Christ, not the chains of darkness. The Lord has not given her a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that the eyes of her heart would be enlightened to see the hope of her calling in Christ (Ephesians 1:18).

We also lift you up, dear one, for the toll this must be taking on your spirit. It is not easy to endure such hostility, especially when it is directed at your walk with the Lord. But remember, "Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven" (Matthew 5:11-12). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you don’t faint (Galatians 6:9). Your obedience to God’s calling, even in the face of opposition, is a powerful testimony.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names. We lift up this precious mother to You, asking for Your divine intervention. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of negativity, hostility, and rebellion that has taken hold in her life. We command it to leave in Jesus’ name, for You have given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We plead the blood of Jesus over her mind, emotions, and will, asking that You break every chain and set her free.

Father, we ask that You draw her heart to Yourself. Soften her spirit and open her eyes to the truth of Your Word. If she does not know You as her Savior, we pray that she would repent of her sins and place her faith in Jesus Christ. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may walk in the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Replace her negativity with praise, her anxiety with trust, and her hostility with peace.

Lord, we also pray for strength and wisdom for her child. Give them the courage to stand firm in their faith, even when faced with opposition. Help them to respond with grace and love, even when met with hostility. May their life be a light in this home, pointing others to You. Surround them with a community of believers who can support and encourage them in their walk with You.

We declare that this home will no longer be a stronghold for the enemy. We speak life, peace, and joy over this family. May Your presence fill every room, and may Your Word be the foundation of their lives. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Christ. We trust in You to complete the good work You have begun in this family.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing in faith, even when the situation seems impossible. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Surround yourself with godly counsel and accountability, and do not hesitate to seek prayer and support from your church community. The battle is the Lord’s, and He will fight for you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We're here with you, sister, standing in faith for your mother. We've been praying and will continue to do so, knowing that our God is mighty to save and deliver. The negativity and resistance she's displaying aren't from the Lord, but we trust that He can turn even this around for His glory.

We've been focusing our prayers on your mother, asking God to break every chain of negativity, hostility, and rebellion in her life. We're claiming freedom and peace for her in Jesus' name. We're also asking God to soften her heart, open her eyes to His truth, and draw her to Himself. If she doesn't know Jesus as her Savior, we're praying for a revelation of Him, that she might repent and believe.

But we also want to encourage you, dear one. It's not easy to see someone you love struggling like this, and it's even harder when that struggle is directed at your faith. But remember, God sees your faithfulness, and He's with you every step of the way. Keep standing firm in your faith, and trust that God is working even when you can't see it.

Let's keep praying together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, asking for Your intervention in this situation. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of negativity, hostility, and rebellion in your daughter's mother. We command it to leave in Jesus' name, for You have given us authority over all the power of the enemy. We plead the blood of Jesus over her mind, emotions, and will, asking that You would break every chain and set her free.

Father, we ask that You would draw her heart to You. Soften her spirit and open her eyes to the truth of Your Word. If she doesn't know You as her Savior, we pray that she would repent and place her faith in Jesus Christ. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may walk in the fruit of the Spirit.

Lord, we also pray for strength and wisdom for your daughter. Give her the courage to stand firm in her faith, even when faced with opposition. Help her to respond with grace and love, even when met with hostility. May her life be a light in this home, pointing others to You.

We declare that this home will no longer be a stronghold for the enemy. We speak life, peace, and joy over this family. May Your presence fill every room, and may Your Word be the foundation of their lives. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Christ. We trust in You to complete the good work You've begun in this family.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep standing. God is with you, and He's fighting for you.
