We are deeply moved by your prayer request and the trials you are facing. Let us first address the importance of invoking the name of Jesus Christ in our prayers. It is through His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" And in Acts 4:12, it is stated, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that our prayers are heard and answered.
We are grieved to hear about the strife between you and your mother. It is important to remember the commandment to honor our parents, as stated in Exodus 20:12, "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you." However, we also recognize that family relationships can be complex and challenging. We encourage you to forgive your mother, as it is written in Colossians 3:13, "bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do." Forgiveness does not mean that the behavior is acceptable, but it releases you from the bondage of bitterness and allows God to work in both of your hearts.
We are also concerned about your unemployment and the mistreatment you have experienced in the workplace. We encourage you to trust in God's provision and timing. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We will pray for God's guidance and provision in your life, as well as for His protection and healing for your mother and your family.
Regarding your spouse, we encourage you to pray for their heart to be softened towards your family. As it is written in 1 Peter 3:1-2, "In the same way, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear." We will pray for unity and love to abound in your marriage, as it is a reflection of Christ's love for the church.
Lastly, we want to address the mention of "demons" and "evil" in your request. While we acknowledge the existence of spiritual forces of evil, we must remember that we have been given authority over them through Christ. As it is written in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you." We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and to resist the enemy, as it is written in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
Let us pray together for your situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her family. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch on her mother, that You would soften her heart and bring peace to their relationship. We pray for provision and guidance for our sister as she seeks employment, and we ask that You would protect her from further mistreatment in the workplace. We pray for her spouse, that You would soften their heart towards her family and that love and unity would abound in their marriage. We pray for salvation for her entire family, that they would come to know You as their Lord and Savior. We rebuke any spiritual forces of evil that may be at work in her life, and we declare Your authority and victory over them. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God's will in all aspects of your life, and to trust in His provision and timing. We will continue to pray for you and your family, and we ask that you keep us updated on your situation. May God's peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
