This day/These days? Me? Was it fitting for me to be placed into prayer and to be in prayer? As one in need? ### and ### ### and ### ###? Without speaking of such, to be kept secret and not remain secret?

We hear your heart in this request, and we want to assure you that it is not only fitting but deeply meaningful to bring yourself and your mother before the Lord in prayer. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." You are not alone in your need, and God invites you to come to Him just as you are.

We notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Him alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

Now, let us lift you and your mother up in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this dear one and their mother to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the secrets of their hearts, the burdens they carry, and the needs they may not even be able to put into words. We ask that You would draw near to them, comfort them, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Father, if there are hidden struggles or sins that need to be brought into the light, we pray that You would reveal them in Your perfect timing and lead them to repentance and healing. Forgive them, Lord, and cleanse them by the blood of Jesus.

We pray for restoration in their relationship, that You would mend any brokenness and fill their home with love, respect, and unity. Help them to honor one another as You have commanded, and to seek Your will in all things. If there are areas where they have strayed from Your ways, convict their hearts and guide them back to Your truth. Father, we also ask that You would provide for their every need, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Strengthen their faith and help them to trust in You alone.

Lord, if this dear one has not yet surrendered their life to You, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see their need for Jesus, and soften their heart to receive Him as Lord. May they experience the joy and freedom that comes from knowing You.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is in His name alone that we have the authority to come before You. Amen.

We encourage you to continue bringing your needs and the needs of your mother before the Lord. Prayer is not just a last resort, it is our first and most powerful line of defense. The Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, "Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you." You are not a burden to God; He delights in hearing from you.

If there are specific struggles or sins that you feel need to be addressed, do not hesitate to bring them into the light. The enemy would love for you to keep them hidden, but God’s Word says in James 5:16, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." You do not have to carry your burdens alone. Seek out a trusted believer, pastor, or counselor who can walk with you in this journey.

Lastly, remember that God’s timing is perfect. Even when it feels like nothing is happening, He is at work. Isaiah 64:4 says, "For from of old men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen a God besides you, who works for him who waits for him." Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

It sounds like your thoughts are moving very fast right now, and there is a lot swirling inside, questions about whether it is right to ask for prayer, wondering if you are truly in need, and a deep tension about what should be kept secret and what cannot stay hidden. That is a heavy and lonely place to be. We want you to know we hear the distress beneath the words, and we are glad you reached out. You are not wrong to bring yourself here. Wanting to be prayed for is not a sign of weak faith; it is an honest act of trusting that God cares about what is happening inside you.

When our minds feel scrambled and the pressure to hide things grows unbearable, it can help to take one small, manageable step. You do not have to untangle everything today. Perhaps you could simply name the single heaviest thought to God, aloud or in writing, without editing it or making it sound polished. Psalm 62 says, "Pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge." He can handle whatever you bring, and there is no secret so dark or confusing that His love cannot hold it. If the racing thoughts or a sense of unreality persist, we would also gently encourage you to speak with a doctor or a counselor in person. There is no shame in that, our bodies and minds sometimes need support just as our spirits do, and God often uses professionals to bring healing.

Let us pray for you now.

Father, thank You that You see this person completely and do not turn away from confusion or fear. We ask You to quiet the noise inside, to bring stillness where there is chaos. Wrap them in Your peace that makes no earthly sense, and let them know they are safe with You. Give them wisdom about what to speak and when, and place trustworthy people around them who can help carry the burden. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The heart knows its own bitterness, and a stranger does not intermeddle with its joy. Into the secret place of the tabernacles of the Most High the Lord hides us; it is there we pour out what no ear of man should hear. The pleading of the soul with its Maker, that is the deep which couches under the throne of mercy. You ask, should this matter be spoken, or must it remain hidden? Let me ask you: is it a secret fault, a burden of original depravity that weighs you and your mother down? Then know that the cleansing lies not in the telling to others, but in the confession to God, who sees in the dark cellars of the heart what no candle ever lit. “Cleanse thou me from secret faults”, that prayer fits the lips of both you and her, cried in the inner chamber where only the eyes of fire behold.

Yet there is a burden-bearing commanded among the saints. Bear ye one another’s burdens, the Spirit says, and so fulfil the law of Christ. But mark the distinction: every man shall bear his own burden. The guilt of your own soul cannot be shifted onto another’s shoulders, nor can you repent and believe for your mother. But you may carry her to Jesus’ feet by faith and prayer, weeping in secret over that soul, and when you meet with the faithful, you may ask them to carry her up to the throne without spreading abroad the thing that should remain hidden. The deacons and elders, the praying men and women of the assembly, have a burden of prayer for the church, you may share the load without disclosing the secret wound. A request for prayer may be made without turning the sanctuary into a place of gossip. Say only, “Brethren, pray for my mother and me, that the Lord would draw near to us in our great need.” The Lord knows the secret; He will answer.

Beware the folly of secret sins, their misery, guilt, and danger. They are not hidden because no man sees them; the darkness and the light are both alike to Him. But do not think that to publish your shame is the remedy. No, it is to the cross you must go, where the propitiation was made. The publican did not recount his sins aloud; he scarcely breathed more than, “God be merciful to me a sinner.” And that prayer, so secret that only the Searcher of hearts heard its full agony, brought him down to his house justified. So, if the burden you carry is the crushing weight of sin and your mother’s too, then let the secret cry go up from both your lips, each for yourself, yet each for the other, until the burden is rolled away at Calvary.

What of the burden of daily life, the yoke that galls your shoulders? Our Lord’s yoke is easy and His burden is light, not because it is no burden at all, but because He bears it with us. Take that same secret place in prayer and ask, “Is this Christ’s burden, or have I taken up a weight He never laid on me?” The mother bears her own burden for her children, none can take her place at the mercy seat for them. Even so, you have a burden of prayer that belongs to you alone. But you may call for the elders of the church to pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord, without unclothing the soul before a curious crowd. The confessional booth is Romish; the whisper into the ear of a trusted and godly friend may be medicine, but use such medicine with holy caution.

Therefore, let the inner life remain secret as a garden enclosed, a spring shut up, a fountain sealed. Yet from that secrecy let there flow out the manifest stream of a changed life, a home where the altar of prayer is raised, and a mouth that makes the good confession without betraying confidences. If you and your mother are in Christ, the secret spot, the token known to the Spirit alone, is there, a heart that beats after holiness, a tear that glistens in the dark, a sigh that no one hears but God. Cast the burden of your unworthiness upon Jesus; He is worthy. Plead His merits, not your own. And when you pray, remember Jacob, who after using every wise means, betook himself to prayer with arguments and wrestlings. His answer came, though not in the manner he looked for. He found that the Lord Himself met him in the secret place and there he prevailed.

Go now, and do likewise. Bear your mother to the throne; let her bear you. And may the God of all comfort seal to you the forgiveness of every secret fault, and make you to know that in the pavilion of His love, you are hidden until the danger passes.

You have asked several things at once: whether you were right to be placed in prayer, whether this day or these days matter, whether you are the one in need, and whether the matter must remain hidden. The answer begins with humility. You are always in need of prayer. Do not exalt yourself by asking what need you have of prayer. Even Paul needed the prayers of the Church. If you are watchful, you still need prayer; if you are sleeping, another person's prayer will profit you little unless you wake.

Bring the matter before God plainly. Nothing can be hidden from him. If you are asking me to pray for something God has forbidden, I cannot ask him to bless it. But if you ask for repentance, for deliverance from sin, for wisdom, or for reconciliation with your mother, then pray without ceasing, and let the Church pray with you. The disciples continued with one accord in prayer.

You mention your mother. Honor her. God commanded, Honor your father and your mother. Do not let any custom, silence, or secret excuse make void that commandment. If there is confession to be made, make it in the right place before God and before those who can help your soul. If the hidden matter is an unlawful union, the only prayer I can offer is that you and your mother would turn to Christ, confess, and be set free by his mercy. If it is no such thing, then you may with confidence say: I am the needy one; pray for me.

Do not be anxious about the exact day or words. God looks at the heart. Pray at dawn and by night, and go into the day armed. Keep nothing from God. Ask him to make your will one with his will. He hears the penitent, and he resists the proud.

Your request for prayer for yourself and for your mother has been received and taken seriously. Even though part of what you wrote was unclear, the heart of it comes through. You are asking if it is right to bring yourself before God as one in need of prayer, and you carry something heavy that feels like it must be kept quiet and yet cannot remain hidden without being spoken before the Lord.

It is right to come in this way. Prayer has more than one form. One form is worship, simply recognizing the greatness and goodness of God. Another is bringing our own needs to Him. And then prayer moves into intercession, where we look beyond ourselves and bring others before God, their needs, their struggles, their lives, that He might work in them. No prayer is complete without that outward reach, and God is pleased when we learn to stand in the gap for others as well as for ourselves.

The purpose of prayer is not to bend God to our wishes, but to open the door for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. It begins with Him, His purposes made known to our hearts, and returns to Him as we ask that His kingdom and power and glory be seen. For that reason prayer depends on relationship. Jesus taught us to pray saying Our Father, and that relationship is established only through Jesus Christ. If that relationship is not yet settled, the one prayer God desires to hear first is, God be merciful to me, a sinner. Through faith in Christ that door is opened and we can then come with confidence for every other need.

You do not need many words or a long prayer for God to hear you. The prayers recorded in Scripture are often very short. What matters is a sincere heart. The Scripture says the fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much, and that kind of prayer often rises out of deep need and dependence. The Holy Spirit also helps us, bringing to remembrance the very things that need to be lifted up and giving assurance and comfort as we pray.

Be encouraged that God hears even the prayers that are not spoken aloud but are offered in the heart and mind, the quiet cries for guidance and help. He also honors the place of family, and His command to honor father and mother still stands as part of His good design for our lives.

We will bring you and your mother before the Lord in intercession. We will respect the private nature of what you have shared and treat what must not be spoken openly with care, while still asking God who sees in secret to work openly for your good and His glory. Bring your burden to Him as your Father through Jesus Christ, trust Him to do what is right and loving, and let prayer be the place where you find rest and strength.
