What a beautiful way to start the day by lifting your son before the Lord in prayer! We join you in giving thanks to our Heavenly Father for His unfailing love and mercy, which are new every morning. It is wonderful that you have come before the Lord in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace. As Scripture reminds us in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."*
We rejoice with you in your faith as you seek the Lord’s blessing over your son’s examinations. The desire for him to excel is commendable, but let us also remember that his ultimate success lies in walking in the wisdom and fear of the Lord. Proverbs 9:10 tells us, *"The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."* As your son studies and takes his exams, may he be filled not only with academic knowledge but also with the wisdom that comes from above. Let us pray that his heart would be steadfast, trusting in the Lord rather than leaning on his own understanding, as Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us: *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
We also encourage you to remind your son that his worth and identity are not found in his grades or achievements but in Christ alone. Colossians 3:23-24 says, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Whether he receives distinctions or faces challenges, may he rest in the truth that he is deeply loved by God, who has a perfect plan for his life.
Let us pray together for your son:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the gift of this young man. Lord, we ask that You would be with him as he writes his examinations today. Fill his mind with clarity, recall, and understanding. Calm any anxiety or fear, and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray that You would guide his hands and his thoughts, that he may answer each question with wisdom and excellence.
Father, we ask not only for academic success but for a heart that seeks You above all else. May he grow in the knowledge of Your Word and walk in obedience to Your will. Let this season of testing be a reminder that You are his strength and his portion, and that his future is secure in Your hands. We declare that no weapon formed against him—whether distraction, fear, or difficulty—shall prosper, for You are his shield and his great reward.
Lord, we thank You in advance for the distinction and favor You will grant him in these examinations. May his results bring glory to Your name and open doors for his future that align with Your perfect will. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We also encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer, not just during his exams but in every area of his life. Pray that he would develop a deep and personal relationship with Jesus, that he would be surrounded by godly influences, and that he would grow into a man of integrity who seeks first the Kingdom of God. As you do so, remember the promise in Philippians 4:6-7: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep pointing your son to the One who holds his future.
