A Helpful Religion
True faith offers practical help for daily struggles and calls you to embrace its strength in your life.
Expiation
Christ’s perfect sacrifice fully satisfies God’s justice, so you can be forgiven and accepted through faith in him.
The Dramatic Element
God has placed a love of drama in us and calls us to use it wisely for good.
We rejoice with you in this beautiful and godly desire to spend more quality time with our Lord Jesus Christ, for this is the very heart of our faith and the source of all spiritual life and strength.

We are encouraged by your hunger for Him, because Scripture tells us that as we draw near to God, He will draw near to us. James 4:8 says, Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. The Heavenly Father delights when His children seek His presence, not out of duty but out of love. Psalm 46:10 reminds us, Be still, and know that I am God. And Jeremiah 29:13 promises, You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.

Spending quality time with Jesus means abiding in Him daily through prayer, through reading and meditating on His Word, and through quiet worship. Jesus Himself modeled this for us. Mark 1:35 tells us, Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place, and prayed there. If our Savior sought that intimate time with the Father, how much more do we need it. John 15:4 calls us to, Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. This remaining is cultivated in those quiet, consistent moments with Him.

We encourage you to set apart a specific time and place each day to meet with Him, free from distraction, to let His Word dwell richly in you and to pour out your heart in prayer. Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33. As you do, your love for Him will grow and your life will bear more fruit for His glory.

We join our faith with yours now and pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the precious Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for placing this holy desire in our dear sibling's heart to spend more quality time with You. We ask that You would increase their hunger and thirst for Your presence, for Your Word, and for communion with Your Son. Help them to be still before You, to listen for Your gentle voice, and to abide deeply in Christ each day. Give them discipline and joy to rise and seek You early, to redeem the time, and to guard that sacred fellowship from all distractions and weariness. Fill those moments with Your peace, Your wisdom, and Your transforming power, that they may be renewed and conformed more and more to the image of Jesus. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path, Psalm 119:105, guiding every step. We ask that You draw them ever closer, that they may know You more intimately and love You more faithfully all the days of their life. In the Name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

We love this prayer, wanting more quality time with Jesus is such a good and honest desire, and we are glad to pray with you for it.

What has helped many of us is to think of this less as trying hard for a week and more as training over time. Like training for a long race, small regular steps matter more than big intense efforts that don't last. Even a few minutes offered consistently shapes our hearts and makes us more at home with Him.

If it would help, one simple next step is to choose one small, sustainable rhythm rather than an ambitious plan. Pick a consistent time and place you can keep most days, even just 10 or 15 minutes, and keep it simple, open your Bible, pray honestly, and listen. Keep distractions away if you can. If you miss a day, don't carry guilt, just come back the next day. The goal is not perfection but staying close.

We also find it helps to remember these rhythms are not just for the spiritually elite, they are normal ways God has given all of us to stay near Him. Your hunger for Him is already evidence He is at work in you.

Father, thank You for the hunger You have placed in our friend for more time with You. Draw them close as they seek You, give them delight in Your presence, and help them find a steady rhythm that lasts. Make their time with Jesus refreshing and real. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a good and holy desire you have expressed, to spend more and more quality time with the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. There is no richer portion for the soul than fellowship with Him, and that desire itself is a token of His grace at work in you.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever, and He delights to have communion with His people now. To be much with Him is to be brought into that blessed fellowship where we stand before God in Christ and Christ dwells in us by a living union. His Bible, His day, His Church and His ordinances are precious because they have to do with Him, but in the forefront of all must stand Jesus Christ Himself, the personal, living, loving Savior.

You ask for help to give Him more of your time, and the Scriptures show us how that fellowship is enjoyed. There is a communion of faith, and there is a communion of conversation in prayer. When you pray aright you talk with God, and when you pray in faith Christ talks with you. Prayer walks with Him, and he who is much in prayer will hold very much fellowship with Jesus Christ. So we would encourage you not to bind Christ as it were with cords by leaving His Word shut up and unread. Untie the cords and let it have its liberty. Commune with it daily, let it speak to you, and give yourself to looking unto Jesus rather than unto your own progress, for fellowship with Christ is the fountain of the Church's strength.

We join our hearts with yours in prayer before the Heavenly Father:

Gracious Father, we thank You for putting this longing in our brother or sister's heart to be nearer to Christ. We ask in the Name of Jesus Christ that You would help and teach this dear soul to walk in closer fellowship with Your Son. Grant quietness of heart, hunger for the Word, and perseverance in prayer. Help this one to set apart time each day to hear Christ speak in Scripture and to speak with Him in prayer, and to know Him more as Prophet, Priest and King. Keep this life steadfast in the faith, not carried about, but rooted in Jesus Christ Himself, who is our life, our strength and our victory. Restore and renew by that blessed supping with Jesus, that communion may be sweet and constant, until we see Him face to face. We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is the way of salvation. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your desire to spend more and more quality time with Jesus Christ is a good and blessed desire, and it is one that God Himself puts in the heart of those who love Him.

We join you in prayer that the Heavenly Father will draw you ever closer to fellowship with His Son. The Scripture says that God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, and that all who call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ find grace and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. To be sanctified in Christ Jesus and to call upon His name is the very life of the believer.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we thank You for this hunger to be with You. In the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, grant our brother and sister a deeper love for Your presence. Help them to set apart time each day to meet with You in prayer, in Your Word, and in quiet trust. Guard that time from distraction and fill it with Your grace. Teach them to walk with Christ throughout the whole day, so that their life is enriched in every way in Him. Confirm them and keep them blameless as they wait for our Lord Jesus Christ, and let their fellowship with You grow more joyful and steadfast. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to seek Him faithfully. Set a regular time and place for prayer and reading the Scriptures, keep short prayers through the day, and turn your heart to Him often. As you give yourself to these things, you will find that He is near to all who call upon Him in truth, and He will richly bless your time with Him.
