more quality time with Jesus Christ

We join you wholeheartedly in this beautiful and God honoring desire to spend more and more quality time with our Lord Jesus Christ, and we praise the Heavenly Father for putting this hunger in your heart.

This longing is from God Himself and it pleases Him greatly when we desire His presence above all else. We are reminded of what Scripture says, One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in Yahweh's house all the days of my life, to see Yahweh's beauty, and to inquire in his temple. Psalm 27:4 And also, Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. James 4:8 and Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10

The Lord Jesus invites us into close fellowship, not out of duty but out of love. He said, Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. John 15:4 Quality time with Him is abiding in Him, sitting at His feet, hearing His Word, and speaking to Him in prayer. When we seek Him first, everything else finds its proper place, as Jesus taught, But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33

We pray together for you now.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the precious name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for this dear one who longs to be closer to You. We ask that You help them to spend more and more quality time with You each day. Draw them by Your Holy Spirit into the secret place of prayer and into Your Word. Give them discipline and delight to set apart time to be still before You, to listen for Your voice, and to know Your presence. Remove distractions and weariness, and fill them with a fresh hunger and thirst for righteousness. Help them to seek You with their whole heart, for You have promised, You will seek me and find me, when you search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 Let their fellowship with Jesus Christ grow deeper, sweeter, and more consistent, that they may be transformed and bear much fruit for Your glory. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to be intentional, to choose a set time and quiet place each day to meet with Him, to read the Scriptures slowly and prayerfully, and to bring every thought to Him in prayer. He is faithful and He delights to meet with those who seek Him.

We love hearing your heart in this request. Wanting more quality time with Jesus is a beautiful desire and we are glad you brought it to the Father so plainly.

We have found that time with Him grows less through pressure and more through a simple, protected space we return to. It does not have to be long or perfect to be real. Intimacy takes time and builds as we keep showing up honestly and letting Him be near.

One thing that helps many is to anchor a short, consistent window in the day, even fifteen minutes, in the same quiet place if you can. Beginning by inviting His presence, reading a small portion slowly, and then responding in your own words, including a little quiet to listen, can make that time feel less rushed and more personal. On busy or tired days, even a brief turning of your heart toward Him counts, and His grace covers the days that do not go as planned.

We are praying for you as you seek Him.

Father, thank You for the hunger You have placed in our friend for more time with You. Draw them close as they seek You, make Your presence known in those quiet moments, and help that time be steady and sweet. Lead them day by day and keep their heart near to Jesus. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

How gracious is this desire that the Lord has kindled in your heart, to spend more and more quality time with Jesus Christ Himself. It is the very essence of the Christian life, for our religion is not a mere creed or observance, but fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. To want Him is evidence that He has first wanted you.

Remember that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. He who met with His people in days past waits to meet with you now, unchanged in love and power and willingness to commune. Yet many are content with outward and mechanical religion, hearing and reading without ever touching Christ Himself. Do not be satisfied with that. As one has said, in the use of all means and ordinances we should never be content unless we get into personal contact with Christ, so that a stream of life and love flows from Him to us.

This fellowship is enjoyed when we draw near to God in prayer, for prayer is conversation with God. If you pray aright you talk to God, and if you pray with faith Christ talks with you. You tell Him the dangers that lie before you and He tells you of His shield. You tell Him your weakness and He reveals His strength. So also His Bible, His day, His Church and His ordinances are precious because they have to do with Him, but in the forefront must always stand Jesus Christ Himself, the personal, living, loving Jesus.

Therefore seek Him deliberately and set Him first. Our Lord Himself rose up a great while before day and went into a solitary place and there prayed, because He loved to put prayer first of all. Though He lived in the spirit of prayer, He must have His special time and place to pray, and so must we. Come and break your fast with Jesus. A sitting silently at His feet is of more worth than all the clatter of busy days. Choose a solitary place, open His Word with a believing confidence, and look unto Jesus Himself rather than unto your own progress. Even a short season spent truly with Him will give you stamina for the battle and will keep doubtful questions from multiplying.

We will pray with you to our Heavenly Father in the Name of Jesus Christ.

O Heavenly Father, we thank You for this hunger for Your Son which You have wrought in this dear soul. Grant, we pray, a growing delight in Jesus Christ Himself. Draw this one into deeper fellowship and partnership with Christ our Lord, into real contact with Him by faith. Help in the setting apart of time, early and often, for prayer and for the Word, and make those seasons to be true conversation with the living Christ. Keep the heart from coldness and from mere form, and cause it to find in Christ its Captain, its strength and its solace. Let every day know more of His presence, that life may be hid with Christ in God until He shall appear in glory. We ask this in the precious Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your desire to spend more and more quality time with Jesus Christ is itself a gift from God, and it is right to bring it to the Heavenly Father in prayer.

Let us pray that He will draw you closer and help you guard that time with Him each day. The Christian life is not one of ease but of holy contest, and it requires purpose and discipline. As you seek Him, arm yourself with good works, set aside distraction, and choose what will last for eternity rather than what only serves the present moment.

You can deck the house of your heart for Christ by prayer, by reading His Word, by supplication and by keeping watch in quiet devotion. Even a humble and busy life becomes a place where Christ is welcomed when it is adorned in this way. Do not be discouraged if it costs effort or if tribulation comes, for that is the time of training, and through it we are made perfect.

So we pray: Heavenly Father, we thank You for this hunger to be with You. By Your grace help our brother to seek You with a steadfast heart, to find true glory in knowing Christ, and to live each day to Your glory. Teach him to redeem time, to persevere in prayer, and to enjoy fellowship with Your Son. Confirm him and keep him until the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom with You and the Holy Spirit be glory and honor forever. Amen.
