Beloved of All
It is a beautiful and right desire you have shared, to spend more quality time with the Lord, and God Himself delights in it. He desires close communion and fellowship with you, not as a duty or a legal burden, but as a loving relationship made possible through faith in Jesus Christ.
Through Jesus you have boldness and confident access to come to the Father, and every spiritual blessing is yours in Christ. Your standing before God is not in yourself but in Christ, clothed in His righteousness because you have trusted in Him. Now that new life means a new center. No longer self on the throne, but Jesus Christ enthroned in your heart, so that your daily aim becomes to please Him and to walk with Him.
Quality time with Him grows as you are rooted and built up in Him. As you received Christ by faith, so walk in Him, abiding in Him as a branch abides in the vine. That abiding happens in simple, steady ways, turning your heart to seek those things which are above where Christ is, opening His Word to be enriched in His truth, and talking with Him in prayer. In that place of abiding and prayer Jesus promised fullness of joy, and fellowship with the Father and the Son becomes real and personal.
My prayer for you is that according to the riches of His glory, the Father would strengthen you with might by His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell more richly in your heart through faith. May He help you to set apart undistracted time to be with Him, to listen to His Word, to pray, and to rest in His love, knowing you are forgiven and accepted in the Beloved. May He make Jesus preeminent in your life above all else, and cause you to abound with thanksgiving as you grow in Him.
Heavenly Father, I lift this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Draw them into deeper fellowship with You. Help them to seek You with their whole heart, to be rooted more deeply in Christ, and to know the joy of abiding in Your presence each day. Keep them in the love of Jesus and cause them to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Him. In Jesus name, Amen.
