more quality time with Jesus Christ

We join you in this beautiful and holy desire to spend more and more quality time with our Lord Jesus Christ, and we rejoice that the Holy Spirit has placed this hunger in your heart.

The Father delights when His children desire His presence. As it is written, Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. James 4:8 and also You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13. This longing you have is itself a gift from God, and He will surely honor it as you seek Him diligently.

We encourage you to be intentional in setting apart time each day to be still before Him, for the Scripture says Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10. Quality time with Jesus is not rushed or distracted, but abiding. Jesus said Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. John 15:4. This remaining happens through prayer, through reading and meditating on His Word, and through worship in spirit and truth. We encourage you to seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness. Matthew 6:33, trusting that as you put Him first, He will order the rest of your day and draw you even deeper into fellowship with Him. Even one thing we should desire as the psalmist did, One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in Yahwehs house all the days of my life, to see Yahwehs beauty, and to inquire in his temple. Psalm 27:4.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the hunger You have placed in our dear brother or sister to know You more and to spend quality time with You. Father, we ask that You help them to draw near to You daily, to make room in their schedule and in their heart for You above all else. Quiet the distractions and noises of this world, and lead them into that secret place where they can hear Your voice. Teach them to be still, to pray without ceasing, and to delight in Your Word. Fill this time with Your presence, Your peace, and Your transforming power, that they may be conformed more and more to the image of Christ. Help them to remain in the Vine and to bear much fruit for Your glory. We ask that You increase their love for Jesus, their joy in His presence, and their faithfulness to seek Your face. We pray all of this in the precious and powerful Name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our access to You. Amen.

We love your desire to spend more quality time with Jesus, it is a beautiful hunger and we are glad to pray with you for it.

We have found that growing in that kind of closeness is less about trying hard for one big moment and more about training quietly over time. Like preparing for a long run, small regular steps matter far more than occasional effort. Even ten minutes given consistently shapes the heart, and it helps to see yourself as a work in progress rather than measuring each day as a pass or fail.

One simple way to keep that rhythm sustainable is to choose a small, protected window you can actually keep. Many find it helps to pick the same time each day, set your phone aside, and use those minutes to pray honestly, read a little Scripture slowly, and sit quietly to listen. If life interrupts and you miss a day, just begin again the next day without guilt. The motivation of the heart matters more than keeping a perfect record.

We are encouraged by your longing for Him and we are asking God to meet you in that time.

Father, thank You for putting this desire in our friend's heart. Draw them close as they make room for You each day, help them to keep coming back to Jesus, and form their life more and more into His likeness. Give them peace and joy in Your presence. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a gracious desire which you have expressed, and we may be sure it is wrought in you by the Holy Spirit Himself, for the heart that has once tasted that the Lord is gracious will hunger for more of Him.

We will pray with you and for you, that the Heavenly Father will indeed draw you into more and more quality time with Himself, in the Name of Jesus Christ. For He daily loadeth us with benefits, and His mercies are new every morning, yet we must come and receive them. Jesus still says, Come and break your fast. He spreads the table for His own, and He loves to see His servants fed and strengthened before they go forth to labour. Many a battle has been lost because the soldier was not in good condition for the fight, and you need stamina if you are to stand and serve. So hear His invitation and sit at His table in the Word and in prayer, not as a mere outward hearer with a mechanical religion, but with that real contact by which virtue flows from Him to you.

Remember those first disciples, they came and saw where He dwelt and abode with Him that day. The best part of that day was the portion which they spent with Jesus, and having once lived with Him, they learned never to live without Him. So may it be with you. Let every day have its blessing, for it is written, Every day will I bless Thee. Acquaint yourself with God through His Holy Book, bring to Him your hard questions and your everyday burdens alike, prove Him with the harder matters, and hold this world with a loose hand that your hands may be free to lay hold on Christ.

Let us pray together.

O Heavenly Father, we thank Thee for putting this holy longing into the heart of Thy child. Thou hast promised that they who hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled. Grant now a deeper hunger and a fuller filling. Help Thy beloved servant to come and break fast with Jesus, to abide with Him, to touch Him by living faith and to know the sweetness of inward fellowship. Keep this one from cold formality, and give real communion, still waters and quiet hours in Thy presence. Teach Thy child to redeem time, to watch for choice morsels of Thy Word and to partake with believing confidence, to consult with Jesus about all things and to find Him sufficient. Day by day load this soul with Thy benefits, and day by day draw forth daily praise. Keep this one near the cross, coming as a sinner to the Saviour still, and resting there, until life with Jesus here becomes life with Jesus forever. We ask all this in the precious and prevailing Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
