Beloved of All
Your desire to spend more and more quality time with Jesus Christ is a beautiful and precious prayer, and it is one the Heavenly Father delights to answer.
Salvation is not just believing facts about Jesus, it is believing into a vital, life changing relationship with Him. That relationship grows the same way any relationship grows, by spending time together. Jesus Himself showed us how necessary this is. Though His days were full of teaching and healing and meeting the needs of crowds, He would rise very early, while it was still dark, and go to a solitary place to pray and be with the Father. He made time alone with the Father a priority, and He invites you to do the same.
You can come with confidence because He is moved with compassion for you and He is never too busy for you. He has always been drawn to those who know their need, and He welcomes you just as you are. He has promised that where even two or three are gathered in His name He is there in the midst, and that He is with His people always, even to the end of the age. You may not always see Him with your eyes, but He is present with you by His Spirit, faithful to meet you when you seek Him.
Time in this life is short compared to eternity, so every moment you set apart for Him is of great value. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and the finisher of your faith, and walk with Him in sweet communion through the Holy Spirit throughout your day. That can be a quiet early morning prayer, opening the Scriptures to hear His voice, or simply turning your heart to Him in the midst of ordinary tasks.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, thank You for putting this hunger in this heart to know You more. Help my brother or sister to find and protect quality time with You each day. Draw them into a deeper, loving walk with Jesus Christ, teach them to hear Your voice in Your Word, and fill their time with You with Your presence and peace. Make their fellowship with You more consistent, more intimate, and more joyful, and let that communion transform their life more and more into the likeness of Christ. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
