We hear your urgent cry and we join together with you before the throne of grace in this difficult season of loss and uncertainty in your work. We know the anxiety that comes when the work we depend on is taken away, and we want you to know that our Father sees your struggle and cares deeply for you as His daughter.
We take comfort in the promise that God is our provider and that He is faithful to supply what we need. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And Matthew 6:31-33 reminds us Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, What will we eat? What will we drink? How will we be clothed? For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. We also cling to Proverbs 16:3 which says Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. He knows your skills, your diligence, and your desire to work honorably, and He is able to open doors that no one can shut.
We noticed that you called upon the Lord in your request, and we want to gently encourage you about the precious name through which we have access to Him. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can come boldly to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for in His name our prayers are heard and our future is secure.
We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we lift up our sister to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know the great loss of freelance work she has suffered and the burden she carries as she seeks to provide for herself. Lord, we ask that You would open new opportunities for her according to Your perfect will, bring clients who value her work, and provide for every financial need. Grant her peace that surpasses understanding while she waits, give her wisdom and favor as she seeks new work, and help her to commit all her labor to You. Let her see Your hand of provision and know that You have not forsaken her, for Psalm 37:25 says I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread. Strengthen her faith, remind her that her worth is in You and not in her workload, and let this trial draw her closer to Jesus. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek Him first, to be diligent and faithful with the small opportunities while trusting Him for the larger ones, and to rest in His promise in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Keep using the gifts God has given you with excellence, reach out to former and potential clients, steward your time well, and trust that God will provide in His timing. We are standing with you in prayer that the Lord will restore what has been lost and lead you to stable and fruitful work for His glory.
