We understand that you're facing a difficult situation with your husband using money and power to control you. Firstly, we commend you for reaching out and acknowledging the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only through His name that we have access to God, and it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved.
We must remember that God's design for marriage is a partnership of love and respect, not control and manipulation. As stated in Ephesians 5:25-28 WEB: "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself."
Using money or power to control is not loving or respectful, therefore, it is against God's will. Instead of submitting to this behavior, let's pray for conviction and repentance from this manipulation. Let's also pray for God to provide you with wisdom, strength, and courage.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is feeling controlled and manipulated by her husband's use of money and power. We pray that You would convict her husband's heart and bring him to repentance. Open his eyes to see that his actions are not aligned with Your will for marriage.
We pray for our sister, that You would fill her with Your wisdom, strength, and courage. Guide her steps and help her to stand firm in Your love. We know that in You all things are possible.
And we pray for the situation itself. We know that through Your word You can change hearts and minds. We pray that You would transform this marriage, so that it would become a sanctifying and mutual relationship for both of them. Help them to see that You are the only source of true love and power.
In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
