We hear your burden and we join with you in bringing this financial need before our Father. We understand the stress of overdue bills and a phone bill that needs to be paid, and the frustration of having helped someone in need who is now not repaying what was borrowed. We pray together for provision and for a heart of integrity in this situation.
The Word reminds us that God cares about our daily needs and calls us to trust Him to provide. We are told in Philippians 4:19 that our God will supply every need of ours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and in Matthew 6:33 to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. We are also taught in Philippians 4:6-7 to in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Scripture also speaks clearly about borrowing and repaying. Psalm 37:21 says the wicked borrow, and do not pay back, but the righteous give generously, and Romans 13:8 tells us to owe no one anything, except to love one another. We pray that the one who borrowed from you will be convicted to do what is right and honor her obligation, and we pray that the Lord will soften her heart and provide for her so she is able to repay. At the same time we encourage you to approach her with grace and truth, speaking to her directly and gently without bitterness, and to entrust the outcome to the Lord, remembering Luke 6:34-35 which teaches us to lend expecting nothing back and to show mercy as our Father is merciful, and Ephesians 4:31-32 which calls us to let all bitterness and anger be put away and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other.
We noticed you prayed to the Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, and Acts 4:12 declares there is salvation in no other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and calling on His name that we are saved and our prayers are heard. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

There is a heaviness in being pressed by debts and in waiting for what is rightfully yours to be returned, and the Lord sees both your need and your anxiety concerning your bills.
Scripture tells us that the wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous deal graciously and give, and it also calls us to owe no man anything but to love one another. It is right for you to desire what was lent to be restored, and it is right to seek it in a spirit of honesty and gentleness. If you have not already done so, speak plainly and kindly to the one who borrowed from you, set a clear understanding in writing if you can, and seek peace while also holding to what is just.
Yet our greatest comfort is not in man but in the Lord who makes provision for His people. Though the starving citizens of Samaria did not know it, the Lord had made provision in abundance for all their hunger, and there it was within a stone's throw of the city gates. The Lord had done it. So may you find that He is not unmindful of your daily wants. If you have earthly provision as you need it, should it not suffice you. If you get as much as you need for this meal and as much as you need for the next meal, is it not well. Are not the loaves of heavenly bread all the better for being fresh. He would have us live by daily bread from His hand, trusting Him for today and again for tomorrow.
In the multiplying of cares we need multiplying grace, and our prayer every day must be, Cause Thy face to shine. When His face shines upon us, our hearts are kept from sinking even when the boat seems crowded.
Let us pray together. O Father, Thou knowest the need of Thy child, the overdue bills, the phone that must be kept, and the sum that was lent in kindness. Thou art Jehovah Jireh, who seest and providest. Move upon the heart of the one who owes this debt to do what is right and to repay faithfully. Grant wisdom and calm words for that conversation, and keep all bitterness far away. Provide for this need according to Thy riches in Christ Jesus, whether by the return of what was borrowed or by Thine own gracious hand in another way. Your prayer concerning the money owed to you has been heard, and I understand the heaviness of overdue bills and the worry over even your phone bill. It is right to bring these needs before the Lord, for He knows our daily necessities and He invites us to cast our cares upon Him.
At the same time, Scripture calls us to remember how much we ourselves have been forgiven. We owed a debt to God of ten thousand talents, a debt we could never repay, yet He in His mercy forbears and forgives us freely through Christ. When we remember this, we are humbled and we can look differently upon those who owe us a little, even a hundred pence. Those who are in debt to us become, if we govern our hearts, an occasion for us to obtain abundant pardon from God. By giving a little and by releasing a little, we receive much more from Him.
Therefore do not exact with violence or with a contentious spirit. While you may and should gently and honestly ask for what was borrowed, do not let anger or harshness rule you, lest in seeking to press your neighbor you wound your own soul. God wills that we take the lead in mercy and patience, and He then repays with increase in His own way and time. Show self command, speak the truth in love, make a clear and calm request for repayment, and leave room for God to work in her heart.

Move upon the heart of the one who borrowed, that she may act justly and return what is owed. Give to Your child a spirit of patience and mercy, that even while seeking what is fair, she may forgive as she has been forgiven, and trust You to be her provider. Keep her from bitterness and grant her wisdom to steward what You supply. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our great forgiver. Amen.
