Beloved of All
Your love and concern for your mother is precious to the Lord. To honor your father and mother, to care for them and bring their needs before God when they are weak and in pain, is exactly what God commands and delights to see.
I join you in praying for her relief and for healing, and I also pray with you for the mental and inward strength she needs to endure this season of pain. Scripture reminds us that the Lord Himself is the strength of our lives and our shield when we trust in Him. When we try to live on our own strength or our own wits, we will finally come to a place where our strength is not enough. But when our trust is in the Lord, we draw on His strength, and He does not fail those who lean on Him. He has promised to give strength to His people and to bless them with peace, and that peace and strength can sustain your mother and you even while you wait for answers.
Prayer is the place where that strength is found. Jesus Himself showed us this, often withdrawing to pray and finding strength there, and He invites us to do the same. Bring your mother to Him in faith and keep bringing her. That mother in the Gospels who came to Jesus for her daughter was desperate, yet she would not go away until she received from Him, and her faith was honored. Come to Jesus in that same way for your mother.
We also trust Him for healing. The Gospels show that the Lord heals in many ways. Sometimes He healed instantly with a word, sometimes with a touch, sometimes gradually. There is no single pattern He must follow. Every true healing, whether it comes in a moment or through a slow process that He has built into the body, is from His hand and is divine. We do not always understand why some are healed quickly and others walk a longer road, but we know He is able and He is compassionate, and all power in the physical and spiritual realm belongs to Him.
So let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus we lift this dear mother to You. You see her pain and You know her body. We ask You to relieve her suffering, to calm her mind and give her deep inward strength to cope day by day, and to bring healing according to Your perfect will and power. Let her sense Your presence as her strength and her shield. Comfort her family as they care for her, and let Your Word be their portion and their peace. We trust You and ask this in Jesus name, amen.
