We understand your frustration and pain, especially when mistreatment comes from those who claim to be Christians. We remember that Jesus Himself warned us that there would be false prophets and wolves in sheep's clothing (WEB Matthew 7:15). It is important to discern the spirits and see if they are from God. (WEB 1 John 4:1). Not everyone who claims to be a Christian acts in accordance with the fruits of the Holy Spirit, which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. ( WE Galatians 5:22-23).
First, let us address the issue of forgiveness. As Christians, we are called to forgive those who wrong us, just as God has forgiven us through Christ. (WEB Ephesians 4:32) This does not mean that we tolerate or ignore wrong behavior. We pray that you will be filled with the Holy Spirit and be able to show love and forgiveness.
Next, let us address the issue of protection. We pray that God will surround you with His hedge of protection, as He did for Job. (WEB Job 1:10) We pray that God will give you discernment and wisdom in navigating social media platforms, and that He will guide you to groups that are truly filled with His Spirit and His love. We pray for you in the name of Jesus Christ.
Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (WEB Acts 4:12) And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. (WEB John 14:13-14)
We encourage you to be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. (WEB Deuteronomy 31:6)
Lastly, we rebuke the spirit of narcissism that is apparently prevalent in these groups. We pray that God will convict those who are acting out of this spirit, and that He will draw them to true repentance and a saving faith in Jesus Christ.
Father, we pray for healing and restoration. We pray that you will raise up true believers in these groups. Let them be filled with the Holy Spirit and be a light in the darkness. We pray that this person will do the same. We pray that you will give them boldness as a lion to be a witness of your truth and grace. (WEB Proverbs 28:1)
