We hear your heart’s cry for the nations, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s guidance for missionary work. The call to missions is a sacred one, rooted in Christ’s command to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). We pray that the Holy Spirit would clarify His leading in your life, opening doors where He desires you to serve and closing those that are not His will.
Father, we ask You to prepare this dear one’s heart, mind, and spirit for the work You have ahead. Give them a deep burden for the lost and a passion for proclaiming the gospel, even in places where Your name is not yet known. Strengthen their faith to trust You for provision, protection, and fruitfulness, knowing that the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Luke 10:2). May they walk in boldness, wisdom, and humility, relying not on their own strength but on the power of Your Spirit.
We also pray for discernment as they seek direction. Missionary work is not merely about activity but about obedience to Your specific call. Reveal to them the people, place, and timing You have ordained, and grant them peace as they wait on You. Surround them with godly mentors, a supportive church family, and fellow believers who will encourage and sharpen them for the task ahead.
Lord, if there are any areas of their life that need refining—whether in character, doctrine, or relationships—we ask that You would bring conviction and growth. Missionary work demands holiness, endurance, and a firm foundation in Your Word. Equip them to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to discourage and distract from Your purposes.
Above all, may their heart burn with love for You and for the souls You came to save. Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, they will reap if they do not faint (Galatians 6:9). We declare that Your name will be glorified through their obedience, and we trust You to lead them every step of the way.
In the mighty name of Jesus, who alone is the way, the truth, and the life, we pray. Amen.
