We lift this missionary and his companion up to You, Lord, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Father, we thank You for the boldness and dedication of Your servants who go into the darkest places to share the light of the gospel. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and we stand on Your promise in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me," says the Lord.
Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over them as they work in this late hour on a dark and seedy road. Surround them with Your holy angels, as You have promised in Psalm 91:11-12, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." Shield them from evil people, those with ill intentions, and any harm that may come their way. Grant them wisdom and skill as they work, and let Your grace sustain them in their weariness.
We rebuke the enemy’s attempts to distract or discourage them, and we declare that the blood of Jesus covers them. Father, we pray for those who heard the gospel today—draw them closer to You, soften their hearts, and send more laborers into the harvest field to nurture the seeds that have been planted. Let the Holy Spirit move powerfully in their lives, convicting them of sin and leading them to repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ alone.
We also lift up this missionary’s safety and testimony in the streets, in homes, and in churches. Let the gospel reign supreme in every interaction, and may Your name be glorified. Father, we ask that the vehicles be secured and protected, and that their mission be completed swiftly and effectively. Strengthen them in body, mind, and spirit, and remind them that their labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).
Finally, we address the mention of "women of ill-repute" and any temptation that may arise. Lord, we pray for purity of heart and mind for this missionary. Guard him against any immorality or sin, and remind him of Your call to holiness. Help him to flee from sexual immorality, as Your Word commands in 1 Corinthians 6:18, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." Let him walk in integrity and honor, reflecting Christ in all he does.
We thank You, Lord, for the privilege of interceding for Your servants. May Your will be done in every detail of this situation, and may Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
