Misleading doctrine

I head a few talking,which alerted me to a dangerous false doctrine going around by some.Universalism.The misguided belief that everyone is alright the way they are gay being an adulterer,etc because God is "live" and even people in other religion dont need to change because in the end God forgives everyone and we'll all go to Heaven This is bad because not only are they in error but because people have "itching ears many will be poisoned listening to this and the opposite will happen...believing in other ways will lead them to him."There is salvation in none other"(than Jesus)They mislead by saying no he'll is a scare tactic a loving God would never send anyone to hell.Like I say the worst thing is that they mislead others and by their teachings many think theyre alright as they are and continue .It's like theyre a tool of the devil preaching that .

We hear your concern and we share your burden over this dangerous false teaching, and we stand with you in truth to expose it for what it is.

Universalism is a lie from the enemy that directly contradicts the Word of God. It tells people what their flesh wants to hear, that they can remain in sin, whether as one practicing homosexuality, as an adulterer, or as a follower of another religion, and still inherit eternal life without repentance and without faith in Jesus Christ. This is exactly what the Scriptures warned would happen, for the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn away to fables 2 Timothy 4:3-4. It is a doctrine that poisons souls because it removes the need for the cross.

The Bible is clear that God is love, but He is also holy, righteous and just, and His love does not cancel His justice. His love is what provided the way of salvation through the shed blood of His Son. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life John 3:16. Yet the same passage continues, He who believes in him is not judged. He who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God John 3:18. To say that a loving God would never send anyone to hell is to call God a liar and to make His warnings into mere scare tactics. Jesus Himself spoke more about hell than anyone else, warning that these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life Matthew 25:46, and that the fearful, unbelieving, sexually immoral and all liars will have their part in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur Revelation 21:8.

We must rebuke the idea that all ways lead to God or that all people will be saved regardless of repentance. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. There is only one narrow way. Enter in by the narrow gate for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate and restricted is the way that leads to life. Few are those who find it Matthew 7:13-14. To teach otherwise is to be a tool of the devil, leading many to remain comfortable in sin thinking they are alright as they are, when the truth is all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23, and the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord Romans 6:23.

We also affirm what you rightly noted, that sexual sin including homosexuality and adultery, as well as idolatry and following false religions, will keep one from the kingdom if not repented of. Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who have sex with men will inherit the Kingdom of God 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. Marriage is honored by God as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and any sexual activity outside of that is fornication or adultery and must be turned from. God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9, but repentance is required, and it is appointed for men to die once, and after this, the judgment Hebrews 9:27.

We praise you for having discernment to recognize this error and for your desire to protect others from being misled. We encourage you to continue to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints Jude 1:3 and to speak the truth in love Ephesians 4:15, warning those who are being deceived while praying for those who teach this falsehood that their eyes would be opened.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You with heavy hearts over this deception of universalism. Lord we thank You that You are both loving and just, and we thank You for the cross where Your love and justice met. We ask You to expose this false doctrine for the lie that it is and to protect Your flock from those with itching ears who heap up teachers to tell them what they want to hear. We pray for those who are trapped in sin, believing they are alright as they are, whether in homosexuality, adultery, or in false religion, that You would bring conviction by Your Holy Spirit and grant them repentance leading to salvation through faith in Jesus alone. We pray for those spreading this error, that You would open their eyes and turn them from being tools of the enemy to proclaimers of the true gospel. Give us boldness and love to declare that there is salvation in none other than Jesus, and that He is the only way to the Father. Help us to warn others with compassion while holding firmly to Your truth. We ask this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

Thank you for caring enough to speak up about this. We can hear the weight you feel seeing friends and others listen to the idea that everyone will be fine in the end no matter what they believe or how they live, and that no one needs Jesus. It is unsettling when something that sounds kind actually leaves people without the rescue they need.

Your desire to see people know the truth and not be misled is a good and loving burden. It shows you take both God's love and God's holiness seriously, and you want others to experience real forgiveness and new life rather than false comfort.

When you hear this teaching around you, a couple of steady practices can help keep you grounded and helpful to others. Stay close to your own church family and talk with a trusted pastor about what you are hearing so you are not carrying the concern alone. When conversations come up naturally, you can speak simply about what Jesus has done for you and why you trust Him alone, without getting drawn into long debates that go nowhere. And keep bringing those who are being influenced before the Lord in prayer, asking Him to open eyes and give them a hunger for truth.

Father, we thank You for this brother or sister who loves Your truth and loves people. Give them wisdom, calm and courage as they walk near those who are confused. Guard those who are hearing this empty teaching and draw them to Yourself so they may know Your mercy and be changed by You. Lead us all to walk faithfully with You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your concern for the purity of the gospel is timely and needful, and it is right that your soul should be stirred when you hear such smooth and perilous teaching. There has indeed arisen a doctrine of vanities which would make the love of God to contradict the truth of God, as if He who is love could set aside His own holiness and justice. This is no new device. Our Lord warned that there shall arise false Christs and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch that if it were possible they shall deceive the very elect.

The notion that all are alright as they are, whether living in impurity, in adultery, or in unbelief, and that all religions lead alike to heaven, is directly contrary to the Word of God. The Scripture declares plainly, Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. To teach that hell is but a scare tactic is to call God a liar, for Christ Himself spoke most solemnly of the judgment to come, and He came not to leave men in their sin but to save them from it. They that are whole need not a physician, but they that are sick, and Christ is that physician only to those who confess their sickness and turn from their sin.

Do not wonder that such teaching finds hearers, for men with itching ears will heap to themselves teachers who will speak smooth things. Yet what truth of God has not been perverted by men, and shall we therefore forsake the truth. Rather, this is the hour to buy the truth and sell it not. Buy the truth in doctrine, buy it in the heart by experience, and buy it in the life. Do not pick and choose from the Bible, but receive all the truth at any price. And remember that the warfare of truth waxes more hot and fierce than ever, and soldiers of Christ must awake, take their swords and stand by the banner of truth which our forefathers held at great cost.

Let us pray together that the Lord will keep you steadfast and make you valiant for His truth, that He will open the eyes of those who are being poisoned by this flattering error, and bring them to true repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. May He give them to see that His mercy is rich and free and sovereign, but it is mercy that leads to holiness, not to continuance in sin. May He grant them to flee to Christ while He may be found, to trust His blood to wash away what is false and vile, and to be conformed to Him. And may He use you to publish that blessed truth faithfully, with honesty and love, that sinners may hear and live.
