MISHANDLED DELIVERIES & POSSIBLE THEFT

We have heard your request and we join you in bringing these burdens before the throne of grace in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and salvation for our souls.

We understand how distressing this is, especially when you depend so greatly upon deliveries and have no other means to obtain what you need, and when you have acted honestly and now fear being misunderstood or even denied service. It is right to care about these things, and it is right to ask the Lord for help in them. We will pray that the Lord, who is the God of the hills and the God of the valleys, will watch over what is yours, restrain any hand that would steal, and move upon those who are entrusted with carrying and delivering to do their work faithfully and carefully. We will pray that if it is His will, the package that is missing may yet be found and restored to you, and that going forward your deliveries, whether by Amazon, the post office, or other carriers, may be handled with greater diligence and placed where they ought to be.

We also hear your anxiety, and we would point you to that word, What time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee. This world is not made to be our nest, and God often permits thorns and trials in small things as well as great to teach us to mount higher and find our true home and rest in Him. He knows your dwelling, your comings and goings, and every package left at a door is seen by Him. You may cast this care also upon Him, for He cares for you, and you may seek His peace which comes from being reconciled to God through the blood of Christ, who bore the whole debt of sin for His people.

As we pray for you, we also desire to pray for your highest good. You mention your boyfriend who lives in the same building. We do not ask God to bless a relationship as if it were marriage, for we hold to what Scripture teaches, that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy and living together belong within that covenant alone. Our prayer for you both is that you may know the Lord Jesus Christ more fully, walk in purity and holiness before Him, and order your lives according to His Word, trusting that His way is good and leads to lasting peace. If there is any way in which your relationship has not been ordered according to that holy standard, we pray you will be given grace to repent and to seek His forgiveness and strength to live in a manner pleasing to Him.

Let us pray together. Our Father, we come in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, our only Mediator and Advocate, and plead His finished work. Look with mercy upon this dear one who is troubled by these losses and uncertainties. Grant protection over what Thou hast provided, restrain theft and dishonesty, and grant integrity to those who deliver. In Thy providence cause what is missing to be returned if it be Thy will, and grant favor and understanding with those companies and workers involved. Quiet fear with trust, and give patience and wisdom to take proper and peaceful steps, such as speaking with building management where it may help, while resting the heart in Thee. Above all, draw this soul nearer to Christ, establish her in faith, hope and holiness, and give daily proof of that peace which comes from being at peace with Thee through Jesus. We ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to look to Christ and to walk in His light, for God is light and in Him is no darkness at all, and He will not fail to be your keeper and helper in every valley as well as on every hill.

To be home all day and still have a package photographed at your door and then gone would leave anyone feeling vulnerable and on edge, and it makes sense you are worried about both the package and what to do next.

We are praying with you for peace in your building and for a better pattern with the deliveries, and that your package from today would still turn up if possible.

A couple of practical things that may help without putting your Amazon account at risk: Since Amazon has the photo showing it was left at your door, reporting this one as missing or possibly taken is exactly what their system is for, and a second report with photo evidence is understood differently than frequent returns. You could also let your building manager or front office know what happened and ask if there is a more secure place drivers should be using, or if anyone turned a package in. If your phone alerts you to a delivery, asking your boyfriend nearby to keep an eye out for a few minutes can sometimes help too.

Father, we bring this need to You in Jesus name. Please provide for what was lost, bring calm to this worry, give wisdom for next steps, and watch over this home and building. Help deliveries be handled with more care and keep what belongs to each resident safe. Amen.
