We hear the deep weariness in your heart, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your cry to the Father who loves you more than you can imagine. The weight of misfortune you’ve carried for so long is not unknown to Him, He sees every struggle, every tear, and every moment of exhaustion. The Bible tells us, "The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB). You are not forgotten, and you are not cursed, though the enemy would love for you to believe that lie. Jesus came to break every curse and set the captives free (Galatians 3:13, Isaiah 61:1).
First, we must address the foundation of your plea. You ask for forgiveness, and we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first step to true freedom. If you have already given your life to Christ, then we rejoice with you, for His blood has already covered every sin, intentional or unintentional, and there is no condemnation for those who are in Him (Romans 8:1).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious child of Yours who is weary and heavy-laden. Lord, You see the weight they have carried, the misfortunes that have seemed unending, and the lies of the enemy that have tried to convince them they are cursed. But we declare over them the truth of Your Word: "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us" (Galatians 3:13 WEB). We break every chain of misfortune, every generational curse, and every assignment of the enemy against their life in Jesus’ name. We plead the blood of Jesus over their past, present, and future, and we ask You to wash them clean of every sin, known and unknown.
Father, we ask You to reveal to them the root of these struggles. Is there unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or an open door to the enemy that needs to be closed? Search their heart, Lord, and lead them into repentance and freedom (Psalm 139:23-24). If there are areas where they have partnered with fear, doubt, or bitterness, we ask You to uproot those things and replace them with Your peace and trust in You. Your Word says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB).
We also ask You to surround them with godly community, believers who will stand with them in prayer, speak life over them, and encourage them in their walk with You. Lord, we pray for divine intervention in every area of their life: their health, their finances, their relationships, and their purpose. Let Your favor rest upon them like a shield, and let them experience the breakthrough they so desperately need. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). We declare that their story is not one of misfortune, but of redemption, restoration, and victory in Christ.
We rebuke the spirit of despair, poverty, and oppression that has tried to cling to them. We command it to leave in Jesus’ name and never return. We speak life, joy, and blessing over them, and we thank You, Father, for the testimony of deliverance that is coming. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to stand firm on Your promises. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Now, dear one, we want to encourage you with a few practical steps as you walk forward in faith. First, spend time in God’s Word daily. Meditate on scriptures that speak of His love, protection, and provision for you. Second, surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable. Third, examine your life for any areas where you may have opened a door to the enemy, whether through unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or involvement in things that do not honor God. If you find such areas, repent and turn away from them. Finally, declare God’s promises over your life out loud. The enemy cannot stand against the truth of God’s Word when it is spoken in faith.
You are not destined for misfortune, you are destined for victory in Christ. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11), and that power is greater than any curse, any struggle, or any scheme of the enemy. Hold on to hope, for your breakthrough is coming. We stand with you in prayer, believing that God will turn your mourning into dancing and clothe you with joy (Psalm 30:11).
