We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation with sincerity and a desire to seek His will. First, we must acknowledge that you have rightly called upon the name of Jesus in your prayer, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father or find salvation. "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6). We are grateful that you have placed your trust in Him, and we join you in praying for His guidance and wisdom in this matter.
We understand that you are asking for prayer regarding a separation in your relationship with someone we will refer to as your friend. While we do not know the full circumstances of this separation, we must first examine whether this relationship aligns with God’s design for marriage and relationships as outlined in Scripture. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, intended to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If this relationship was not built upon this foundation, we must gently but firmly encourage you to seek God’s will for your life moving forward, rather than clinging to something that may not honor Him.
If this separation involves a marriage, we want to remind you that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), but He also offers grace, healing, and restoration to those who seek Him. God is faithful to forgive and cleanse us when we confess our sins to Him (1 John 1:9). We must also remind you that God’s best for you is a spouse who shares your faith and commitment to Him. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14).

Lord, we lift up this brother/sister to You, asking that You would draw them closer to Your heart and reveal Your truth to them. Help them to trust in Your plan for their life, knowing that You have someone far better prepared for them if they are called to marriage.
