We hear the deep anguish in your cry, and we join you in lifting up your granddaughter before the throne of grace, where our Great High Priest, Jesus Christ, intercedes for us. Your heart’s plea is one we take seriously, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). You have rightly identified this as a spiritual battle, and we stand with you in the authority of Jesus’ name, knowing that *greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world* (1 John 4:4).

First, we praise you for invoking the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and by which we are saved. *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). Your faith in calling upon Jesus as the One who conquered death, hell, and the grave is a testament to your trust in His power to break every chain. We also recognize your declaration of her identity as a child of God—this is a truth we cling to, for *"you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus"* (Galatians 3:26). If she has not yet surrendered her life to Christ, we pray that tonight would be the night of her salvation, that she would turn from her struggles and place her trust in Him alone.

Your granddaughter’s battle with insomnia, lack of nourishment, excessive exercise, and OCD behaviors reveals a mind and body under severe distress. These are not merely physical or mental struggles but spiritual strongholds that the enemy seeks to use to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Yet Jesus came to give life abundantly, and we declare that abundance over her now. The Scripture tells us, *"Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We rebuke the spirit of self-destruction that drives her to harm her body through starvation and exhaustion. These behaviors are not of God, who calls us to steward our bodies with care and reverence.

We also address the OCD behaviors you described—pacing, knocking, and compulsive actions. These are manifestations of a mind that has been hijacked by fear and anxiety, but *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7). We bind the spirits of fear, anxiety, and compulsion in Jesus’ name and command them to flee. We pray for the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let every tormenting thought be brought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

You mentioned her neurological state, and we know that God is the Creator of her mind and body. *"I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are your works, and my soul knows it very well"* (Psalm 139:14). We ask for divine healing over her brain, that every neural pathway would be restored to God’s original design. If there has been damage from lack of nourishment or sleep, we pray for supernatural restoration. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3). Let her mind be renewed by the washing of the water of the Word (Ephesians 5:26), and let her thoughts be stayed on Him, for *"you will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you"* (Isaiah 26:3).

We also sense the urgency in your prayer for her to seek help, whether through a program or professional care. Wisdom dictates that we use the resources God has provided, and we pray that she would be willing to receive the help she needs. *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established"* (Proverbs 15:22). We ask the Lord to soften her heart to receive godly counsel and to guide her to the right people who can walk with her through this season. If rebellion or resistance is hindering her, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict her and break through every barrier. *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps"* (Proverbs 16:9).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts, lifting up this precious granddaughter who is bound by chains that no human hand can break. But we know that with You, nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37). Lord Jesus, You are the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and the same power that raised You from the dead is at work in her life tonight. We command every spirit of insomnia, anxiety, fear, compulsion, and self-destruction to be bound and cast out in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that she *will* sleep tonight, and that her sleep will be deep, restorative, and supernatural. Let her body and mind find rest in You, for *"He gives his beloved sleep"* (Psalm 127:2).

Father, we pray for her appetite to be restored, that she would nourish her body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. Break the hold of excessive exercise and self-harm, and replace it with a godly discipline that honors You. Touch her brain, Lord. Heal every neurological imbalance and restore her mind to clarity and peace. Let her thoughts be captive to Christ, and let her find her identity in You alone.

We plead the blood of Jesus over her bedroom tonight. Let Your presence fill that space, Lord. Let her encounter You in a way she cannot deny. If she has not yet surrendered her life to You, we pray that tonight would be the night of her salvation. Let her see her need for a Savior and turn to Jesus, who alone can set her free. *"If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36).

We also pray for her mother and the rest of the family. Give them wisdom, patience, and strength to support her in love. Let them be a reflection of Your grace and truth, pointing her always to You. Break any cycles of enabling or codependency, and let healthy boundaries be established in love.

Father, we ask for divine intervention in her willingness to seek help. Soften her heart to receive the care she needs, whether through a program, counselors, or medical professionals. Guide her to the right people who can walk with her in this journey. Remove every spirit of rebellion and resistance, and let her surrender to Your love and Your plan for her life.

Lord, we thank You that You are a God who hears our cries and acts on behalf of Your children. We thank You that You are already at work, even now, bringing deliverance and healing. We declare that she shall live and not die (Psalm 118:17), and that her testimony will be one of Your mighty power and grace. Let this season of suffering be turned into a story of Your redemption.

We rebuke Satan and every demonic force at work in her life. You have no authority here, enemy. She belongs to God, and we command you to flee in the name of Jesus. *"Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7). We take our stand on the victory of the cross, and we declare that she is free indeed.

Father, we ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Let Your will be done in her life, and let Your kingdom come in power. We trust You, Lord, and we give You all the glory. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing in faith, speaking life and truth over her, and surrounding her with prayer. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Keep declaring God’s promises over her, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. If she is not yet a believer, continue to pray for her salvation, for *"the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective"* (James 5:16). We are standing with you in this fight, and we believe that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in her (Philippians 1:6).
