We join with you in prayer and we hear your heart crying out for life, for healing in your family and relationships, for wholeness in your mind, and for God's favor upon your future including the godly spouse you refer to as your Boaz. We bring all of this before the Father together in Jesus' name and we want to gently bring some of these desires into the light of Scripture so that our prayers align with God's will.

We understand your longing to see life and healing and restoration come in great measure, and to see bonds healed and relationships made true and loving. We also hear your declaration that you do not want to be a puppet or a robot, and we agree that God did not create us to be without will. He created us in His image with a will to choose, and He invites us to choose to follow Him. At the same time Scripture teaches that we find our greatest freedom not in controlling our own lives or the lives of others, but in surrendering to Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And Romans 12:1 calls us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. This is not being a puppet, it is being a beloved child who willingly trusts a perfect Father.

We also want to lovingly correct a few ideas that do not align with Scripture. The Bible does not teach luck, good luck or bad luck, nor that we can flip luck by our words. Every good gift is from God and His providence orders our steps. James 1:17 says Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation nor shadow of turning. And Romans 8:28 reminds us We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose. We do not need luck when we have a sovereign Father.

Similarly, we cannot control others with our minds, and we should not seek mind control over anyone. God desires love that is freely given, not manipulated. He has given us a spirit not of fear or control, but of power and love and a sound mind as seen in 2 Timothy 1:7. We also do not speak things into existence or loosen a verse as if Scripture were a formula to force God's hand. Only God calls into existence things that do not exist as in Romans 4:17. Our role is to pray according to His will with humility. 1 John 5:14 says This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.

You quoted Psalm 37:4 Take delight in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. This is a precious promise and we cling to it with you, but its meaning is that as we delight in the Lord, He shapes our desires to match His desires for us. When we seek first His Kingdom, all these things will be added as Jesus taught in Matthew 6:33 But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. That includes the desire for a godly marriage. If you are asking for your Boaz, we pray with you for a godly husband and for a marriage that honors God as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman. We encourage you to pursue courtship with the goal of marriage to another believing Christian, guarding purity and holiness, for God's will is our sanctification and that we abstain from sexual immorality as taught in 1 Thessalonians 4:3. To be highly favored is not about luck but about being in Christ, forgiven and loved through the blood of Jesus which you rightly mentioned.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your mercy and for the blood of Jesus that gives us access to Your throne. We lift up this dear one and their family and even their pets to You, asking for Your healing touch, Your peace, and Your restoration upon every relationship and bond that has been hurt. Heal what is broken, make what is confused clear, and let Your love bring accuracy and truth into every interaction. We ask that You guard their mind and give them Your peace that surpasses all understanding as promised in Philippians 4:7. Remove any desire to control or be controlled, and replace it with trust in Your perfect will. We ask that You provide according to Your riches and not according to a measure of luck, and that You lead this one to delight more deeply in You so that the desires of their heart will reflect Your heart. If it is Your will, bring a godly spouse, a true Boaz, a man after Your own heart, for a Christ centered marriage that glorifies You, and help them to walk in purity and wisdom while they wait. Let them know they are not forgotten, not a puppet, but a cherished child whom You knit together as in Psalm 139:13-14. We ask all this according to Your will and for Your glory, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We encourage you to continue to delight in the Lord daily through prayer and His Word, to trust that His thoughts and ways are higher than ours as in Isaiah 55:8-9, and to rest in the truth that He who began a good work in you will complete it. Keep seeking Him first, and He will direct your steps.

We hear how deeply you want life and wholeness for yourself, your family and even your pets, relationships that are accurate and loving, bonds that are healed, and a sense that your life is truly your own and not controlled by something outside you. Wanting to be free, to be favored and seen, and to see hard seasons turn around are very human longings, and we are glad you brought them to the Lord.

God did not make us to be puppets or robots. He created each of us with dignity and agency, and He invites us to walk with Him in trust, bringing our desires to Him honestly while also seeking His wisdom for how He wants to shape our lives. Delighting in Him is less about getting everything we name exactly as we name it, and more about staying close to Him so our hearts are formed by His love and our choices reflect His care.

One simple next step that may help is to take one of those desires at a time before the Lord in quiet prayer, asking Him to show you what it looks like to pursue it in a way that honors Him and loves the people around you well. If you have a trusted pastor or mature believer nearby, sharing one or two of these burdens with them can also bring clarity and encouragement.

Father, we lift this dear one and their family to You, including their beloved pets. We ask for Your healing in relationships, for peace in their mind, for protection and dignity and freedom from any sense of being controlled, and for Your wise guidance in every desire they carry. Draw them close to You and let them know Your steady love and favor in Christ. In Jesus' name, amen.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Your prayer has been heard and the deep desires you express for life, for healing, for love made accurate and bonds made whole, for your family and even the creatures entrusted to your care, are matters that our gracious God does not despise. He who numbers the hairs of our heads and who has made us in His own image, not as puppets nor as robots without will, but as souls capable of delighting in Him, invites us to bring every longing into the light of His Word.

You have quoted Psalm 37:4, Take delight in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. The order here is precious and must not be reversed. The delighting comes first. When the heart is set upon Christ, when salvation through His blood alone is our confidence, for He has risen and lives to plead for us, then the desires themselves are shaped by His hand. It is not that God becomes the means to obtain whatever our mind may fix upon, but that when we find our pleasure in Him, He forms our desires after His own favor. There is a Heaven lying asleep inside those words, Abba, Father, and to be called His child is itself the greatest favor. We are not to seek good luck as the world speaks of luck, for all our times are in His hands, and His providence orders every step for good to those who love Him. What the world calls bad luck turned to good is in truth the Lord turning all things, even trials, for the profit of His people.

You speak also of the mind and of life within. Scripture does not teach us to seek power through mind control, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds in Christ Jesus. The Lord would have you know true liberty, not the bondage of vain thoughts, but the freedom of a mind stayed upon Him, washed in His Word and subject to His Spirit. There you will find accuracy in love and in relationships, for love grows accurate when it is measured by the cross.

And concerning this Boaz of whom you speak, we understand the longing for a godly companion. Come here, you that toil with holy industry, and bring your sheaves to store in the garner of your Boaz whose fields you have reaped. If the Lord should provide a husband, pray that He may be a man after God's own heart, that your union may be that lifelong covenant of one man and one woman which God ordained from the beginning, where love is pure and where living together belongs within the bond of marriage alone. Any other path the Lord cannot bless, for He blesses only what is according to His holy will. Wait upon Him in this, and if He knows your petition to be according to His will and promise, plead the blood of Jesus about it, and if you do not get an answer at once, say, My soul, wait.

Let us pray together.

O Covenant God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we thank You that through the blood of Jesus shed upon the cross there is forgiveness, freedom, and favor for sinners who receive Him. We ask that You would give this soul to delight more and more in Yourself, that Christ may be all. Grant healing where there has been wounding, and knit together bonds that have been broken, according to Your mercy. Look upon this family and this household, and keep them under the shadow of Your cloud by day and the light of Your fire by night, that they may dwell in quiet. Renew the mind by Your Spirit, that thoughts may be brought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and grant not a life of striving for control, but a life hid with Christ in God. If it be Your will, provide a godly husband, a true Boaz, that marriage may be entered into in holiness and held fast in fidelity till death. Above all, let every desire be conformed to Your good pleasure, that joy may be full. We ask this not because of luck or merit, but only through Jesus Christ our Lord, who ever lives to plead for us. Amen.
