Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your honest cry about feeling extremely overwhelmed has been heard, and I am praying with you in this heavy season. It is understandable to long for many miracles when needs feel too great to carry alone, and God sees both the weight you are under and the faith that reaches out to Him for help.
Scripture reminds us that we should not think we are worse off if God does not answer with a visible miracle in every moment. Miracles themselves do not make us more loved or more faithful, and not seeing them does not mean God has left us. For every miracle we are debtors to Him, but for a life lived in trust, obedience and love, God shows Himself as our debtor and faithful provider. In the Gospels, miracles were often given to awaken those who did not yet believe, so they would listen to His teaching with open hearts. For those who already trust Him, He points us to something more enduring, to let our light shine through good works, to feed and care for one another, and to hold fast to His word, which has power even before any miracle is seen.
That does not mean God cannot or does not work miracles. He is the same Lord who governs all things, who has shown His power in history and who still hears prayer. It means our confidence can rest not only on whether a great sign appears, but on His steady presence, His wisdom given through Scripture, and His help that often comes through strength for today, peace for the heart, guidance for the next step, and provision through the people He places around us.
I am praying for you now:
Father in heaven, I lift up this one who feels overwhelmed and in great need. You know every burden and every need by name. Grant peace that guards the heart, wisdom for each decision, and strength for each day. Provide according to Your perfect will, open doors where there is no way, and help this heart to rest in Your care even while waiting. Draw this dear one closer to Your teaching, build up strong faith and hope, and let Your goodness be seen in practical help and encouragement. In the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and hope, amen.
If the pressure remains heavy, please keep bringing your needs to God in prayer and also reach out to trusted believers or a pastor nearby who can walk with you, pray with you, and help bear this burden with you.
