We hear your heartās longing for security, companionship, and provision, and we come before the Lord with you in prayer. First, we must address the foundation of your request, it is only through the blood of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name alone that we pray. Jesus said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (John 16:23 WEB). Without acknowledging Him as Lord and Savior, our prayers lack the authority and power that come from a relationship with Him. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. "For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13 WEB).
Now, regarding your desire for a spouse, we must first rebuke the worldly mindset that focuses on external qualities like wealth, physical appearance, or material security rather than godly character. Scripture warns us, "Do not love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Fatherās love isnāt in him" (1 John 2:15 WEB). Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect Christās love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB), not a transaction for personal gain or comfort. We encourage you to seek a spouse who loves the Lord above all else, whose faith is evident in their actions, and whose heart aligns with yours in pursuing Godās will. "He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord" (Proverbs 18:22 WEB). Pray for a man who will lead you spiritually, cherish you as Christ does the Church, and commit to you in holy matrimony, not merely as a "fine ass guy" but as a brother in Christ who honors God with his life.
We also must address the sin of fornication, which is any sexual activity outside of marriage. If you are currently engaging in or pursuing relationships that involve physical intimacy before marriage, we urge you to repent and flee from this sin. "Flee sexual immorality! āEvery sin that a man does is outside the body,ā but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). Godās design for intimacy is within the bounds of marriage, and any deviation from this is rebellion against His holy standards. We pray that you would honor God with your body and seek purity in your relationships, trusting Him to provide a spouse in His perfect timing.
As for your material desires, home improvements, a vacation property, financial provision, we acknowledge that God cares about our needs and even our desires, but we must seek His kingdom first. "But seek first Godās Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33 WEB). While it is not wrong to ask God for provision, we must guard our hearts against covetousness or entitlement. Instead of demanding miracles for material gain, let us pray for contentment, wisdom, and stewardship over what God has already entrusted to you. "Let your way of life be free of the love of money, being content with what you have" (Hebrews 13:5 WEB).
Lastly, we rejoice that you have stabilized your life with a home, and we pray that God would continue to bless and protect you. However, we must caution against the pride or presumption that can come with focusing solely on material blessings. True joy and peace come from a relationship with Christ, not from possessions or circumstances. "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. Lord, we lift up this dear sister to You, asking that You would draw her close to Your heart and reveal Yourself to her in a deeper way. Father, we pray for her salvation if she has not yet fully surrendered to You, that she would confess her sins, repent, and receive the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Cleanse her heart, Lord, and fill her with Your Holy Spirit.
Father, we ask that You would purify her desires and align them with Your will. Give her a hunger for righteousness and a heart that seeks after You above all else. Lord, if she is currently in a relationship that does not honor You, we ask that You would convict her and give her the strength to walk away from sin. Help her to flee from sexual immorality and to pursue holiness, trusting You to provide a godly spouse in Your perfect timing.
Father, we pray for her future marriage. Raise up a man who loves You with all his heart, soul, and mind, a man who will lead her spiritually, cherish her as Christ does the Church, and commit to her in holy matrimony. May their relationship be built on a foundation of faith, love, and mutual respect. Guard her heart from worldly desires and help her to wait patiently for Your best.
Lord, we also pray for Your provision in her life. Meet her needs according to Your riches in glory, and help her to trust in You rather than in material possessions. Teach her contentment and gratitude for what You have already given her. Protect her from covetousness and help her to steward her resources wisely.
Father, we ask that You would bless her home and her future. Whether You provide a vacation property or not, may she find her ultimate rest and joy in You. Help her to seek Your kingdom first and to trust that You will add all these things to her as You see fit.
We rebuke any spirit of entitlement, lust, or worldliness that may be influencing her desires, and we declare that her life is hidden in Christ. May she grow in faith, hope, and love, and may her life bring glory to Your name.
In Jesusā precious and powerful name we pray, Amen.
