You have poured out your heart to God with many words, and that is not wrong, for He hears every cry. But consider this: the Lord Jesus, when He called Lazarus from the tomb, gave thanks to the Father not because He lacked power, but to teach us that His will and the Father’s are one. He needs no long formulas to act; His power is instant, as when He said “I will, be thou clean.” So do not measure God’s readiness by your own anxiety. He who healed the centurion’s servant with a single word is not slow to help your son.

Yet you must watch how you pray. I hear you rebuking spirits, cutting off word curses, and naming those who trouble you. But did not our Lord command that we love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us? If you ask God to move against a young man or his mother, you pollute your own prayer.

How can you ask forgiveness for yourself if you beg God not to forgive another? The mouth that receives the holy mysteries should utter no bitterness. Let no imprecation pass your lips. Instead, give thanks in all things, even for setbacks, which the world calls evil but God uses for good.

The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and your son’s heart if you cast your care upon Him and cease from anxious striving. Do not be like those who say “peace and safety” while living in a stupor, but stay watchful and thankful. Your son’s healing may come in ways you do not expect; the Spirit moves like the wind, beyond your control. Entrust him to God with prayer and supplication, always with thanksgiving, and let your forbearance be known to all.

The Lord is at hand. His grace is sufficient, and His peace will be your strong defense.

I have read your prayer, and I can hear the weight of a mother’s heart in every word. The sleepless nights, the regression after progress, the spiritual resistance you sense, it all reaches deep. You are not alone in crying out to God for your son’s peace and healing, and He is not indifferent to your tears.

Scripture tells us that God will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because he trusts in Him. That perfect peace is not merely the absence of conflict; it is the whole, settled rest that comes from being anchored in Christ. And that peace begins with something even more fundamental: peace with God Himself. Through Jesus’ blood, the war is over. He has made peace for us. Once we have received that forgiveness, we are no longer running or fighting, we belong to Him. That is where the deep peace of God begins to guard our hearts and minds.

So I encourage you, even as you pray for your son’s immediate calm, to keep your own mind fixed on the Lord. He has thoughts of peace toward you and toward your household, not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. He has not forgotten you in the middle of this long struggle. Even when the night feels stormy and the morning brings unease, His eye is on your son, and His ear is open to your cry.

You asked for healing, and you are right to do so. The ministry of Jesus shows us that healing comes in many forms. Sometimes a word spoken at a distance, sometimes a touch, sometimes a gradual restoration that is no less divine because it unfolds over time. The woman who suffered for years felt healing go through her body the moment she touched Him, and He sent her away in peace. To the raging sea He simply said, “Peace, be still,” and there was a great calm. That same voice can speak over the anxiety, the confusion, and the tormenting memories in your son’s mind. Whether the relief comes in an instant or step by step, every good process of recovery is from His hand. He designed the body and the mind to heal, and He can mend what has been broken.

There is a relationship between the health of the soul and the rest of life. The apostle’s wish for another was that he would prosper and be in health even as his soul prospered. That is not a formula, but it points to a truth: a heart anchored in Christ experiences a peace that overflows into daily living. As you continue to pray, ask the Lord to tend your son’s inner man, to soothe his fears, replace stubbornness with a quiet willingness, and fill him with the Holy Spirit’s gentleness. God’s grace always comes before His peace. So rest your son, and rest yourself, in that grace.

I also want to remind you that the enemy often tries to counterfeit peace. There are those who say “peace, peace” when there is no peace because the heart is still at war with God. But your son has been covered by prayer and has seen genuine breakthroughs. The regression you see is not the final word. The Lord ordains peace for those who look to Him. Seek the peace of your household just as the exiles were told to seek the peace of the city where they lived: pray for it, work toward it, and in its peace you will find your own. That means you can trust God to surround your son with caregivers who are patient, with environments that are calm, and with a growing ability in him to respond rather than react.

So let me join my faith with yours. In Jesus’ name, I ask that the peace which surpasses all understanding would settle over your son right now. I pray that every spiritual attack, every dark word spoken over him, every chain of anxiety or old hurt would be silenced by the voice that calms the storm. May the Lord keep his mind stayed on Him, even in ways we cannot yet see. May He give wisdom to every doctor, caregiver, and family member. And may you, as you entrust your son to the Father, know that same perfect peace guarding your own heart. He is the Prince of Peace, and His government over your son’s life is one of increase and wholeness. Hold fast to that.

We have rebuked every spiritual attack, word curse, and generational stronghold in Jesus' mighty name, declaring that no weapon formed against him shall prosper.

We declare healing, restoration, and victory over your son’s life, trusting that the same Jesus who calmed the storm is calming the storm within him.
