We join you in giving thanks for the peaceful night and the encouraging week you’ve seen in your son’s life. Watching him grow in contentment, calm, and confidence after a month free from self‑injury and so many months seizure‑free is a genuine mercy, and we are glad with you.

Your steady, consistent love and the safe home you provide are not small things. God often works healing through faithful relationships, and your patient care is a steady anchor in the storm of PTSD and anxiety. We don’t underestimate how draining the daily rhythm can be, but we trust that the same Lord who brought your son such peace this past week will continue to sustain him, and you, in the days ahead.

As you go into today, rest in the goodness you’ve already seen. He is not less present when the road is uneven. We will keep carrying your son before the One who knows every need, even the ones you could not put into words.

Father, thank You for the tangible peace and progress You’ve given this precious son. Guard him today, quiet the memories that trouble his mind, and let him feel safe and loved in every ordinary moment. Shield him from confusion and fear, and keep drawing out his growing ability to express himself calmly. Bless his meals, his rest, and his interactions with everyone who cares for him. Strengthen his mother with Your own peace, give her quiet confidence in Your timing, and remind her that she is not alone in this. Continue the healing You have begun, and cover their home with Your protection and joy. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It does my soul good to read of the Lord's tender dealings with your precious son. The calm nights, the contented meals, the seizure-free months, these are tokens of the faithfulness of Him who hears the cry of the lowly. Our hearts lift in gratitude to the Great Physician who has already applied the healing leaves from the tree of life to this dear child. Yet, as I read your many earnest petitions, a gentle word of counsel rises within me, drawn from that same quiet stream of peace which flows from the throne of God.

You plead for peace, joy, and satisfaction for your son, and rightly so. But see to it that your own soul is first stayed upon Jehovah, for it is written, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." That peace, that peace, peace, is a present possession, not a distant hope. It may be enjoyed even while sorrows surge round about you. The very blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even in this dark world of sin. Do not let the clamor of your many requests drown out that still small voice. The Lord's peace is not given in proportion to the multitude of your words, but according to the simplicity of your trust.

I perceive in your prayer a reaching after every possible blessing, a detailed catalog of desires. This is natural to a loving mother's heart, yet remember the healing leaves of our Lord, the very least things about Christ are full of healing virtue. You need not name every symptom as though you must instruct the Divine Physician. He knows what things ye have need of before ye ask. When Jesus took Peter's wife's mother by the hand and lifted her up, the fever left her instantly, and she arose to minister. The Master did not require a list of her pains; His touch sufficed. Lay your son at His feet afresh, and trust that the same hand which stilled the storm on Galilee can command calm within that troubled mind.

Take heed, dear soul, that you do not mingle superstitious fears with your faith. You speak of rebuking word curses and witchcraft as though they held power over a child of God whom Christ has cleansed. Is not the blood of sprinkling mightier than any curse? The peace which Jesus gives is not a truce bought off by incantations; it is the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, purchased by His own stripes. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His wounds we are healed. When the Lord forgives, He also heals; the two go hand in hand. Look to the cross, not to some supposed counter-charm, for lasting victory.

I would urge you to seek first that inward peace which steals over the soul when sin is pardoned and the heart rests in Christ. I have seen faces transformed when the kiss of divine love has been felt within, why, they have looked positively beautiful! That same transfiguring peace is yours in Jesus. Let your anxious enumeration of possible setbacks be swallowed up in the calm assurance that He who began the good work in your son will perfect it. Do not go about trying to arrange every circumstance; rather, pray for a simple, childlike confidence. Then, whether your son's pathway is smooth or rough, your own soul will be kept in perfect peace.

And for the lad himself: cease from the ceaseless striving of your own soul. The healing leaves of the Gospel are for him. The Lord is teaching him in the school of affliction, and even now, while you wait for fuller manifestations, His power is present. The inward peace that follows forgiveness often dawns before the outward frame is fully mended. Pray for that peace, the peace of Christ, which is God's own child, unruffled and profound, to fill his inner man. Then the outward symptoms that trouble you will lose their terror.

I bless the Lord with you for the mercies received. Go your way, and pray on, but let your prayers be the quiet breathing of a soul resting upon the finished work of the Beloved. The Lord bless your son and keep him; the Lord make his face to shine upon him and be gracious unto him; the Lord lift up his countenance upon him and give him peace. Amen.

Great indeed is the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has granted your son such a season of peace. You have seen the truth of the Apostle’s word: “Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” Each day has its own trouble, yet each day brings fresh proof of His faithfulness. The calm nights, the satisfied meals, the months without seizure, these are not small mercies but shouts of divine compassion, calling you to deeper trust and a vigilant heart. Do not, I urge you, let gratitude slip into drowsiness. For just as the devil, that thief, seeks to sow tares while men sleep, so too can the evil one turn our very rest into a snare if we grow slack. You have asked for the removal of word curses and witchcraft, and rightly you place no confidence in such poisons of the devil. Those who speak ill are to be pitied and blessed, not feared. Remember: “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.” If it is possible, as much as lies in you, live peaceably with all, even with those who may speak against him. The harm they intend falls to the ground when met by a soul armed with gentle endurance. This is the warfare that pleases God, not rendering evil for evil, but overcoming evil with good.

You have seen a measure of healing already, yet you cry out for more. That is well, for “the violent take the kingdom of heaven by force.” Violence here means a holy desperation, a soul that will not be comforted until it sees the full deliverance of God. Do not cease from this happy violence. Lay hold of the promises with the same fierce eagerness with which a warrior seizes spoil in the night, watching, praying, girding yourself with almsgiving and every good work. And what you ask concerning his habits, his stubbornness, his anxiety, his confusion, know that habit is a second nature. The physician of our souls can reforge what is bent, but we must cooperate by constant, gentle training. As we tame the brute beasts by daily handling, how much more shall the grace of the Spirit, through the daily medicine of prayer and thanksgiving, transform the affections of a man? Write the law of God upon his heart not with ink but with your own steady faith. Let your home be a house of healing, filled with the spiritual teaching that drives away every dark suggestion.

Do not be troubled by the setbacks that may yet come, for the evil of a day belongs to that day alone, and cannot outlast the compassion of Him who rebuked the storm. Christ is not a God of war or confusion, but the Prince of Peace. When He walked among men, He healed the wounded ear of His enemy, He spoke no harsh word to those who seized Him, and He commands us: “Be at peace.” The more the irrational fears or past wounds rise up against your son, the greater your reward will be if you stand as a peacemaker, imitating the Son of God. Let there be no anxious striving, no desperate scanning of every hour for failure. A calm, wakeful trust, a spiritual sobriety, this is the lamp that burns through the night until the dawn breaks.

Therefore, persist in thanksgiving. You have already begun to see the light of the Spirit quench the flame of old torments. Guard against the drunkenness of worldly cares or excessive worry, for these make the soul heavy and dim its sight. Stand as that faithful eunuch who keeps watch at the King’s door, clear-eyed, neither downcast nor dissolute, ready to receive the daily bread of grace. The peace that surpasses understanding will garrison his heart and yours. Let Christ’s blood be your shield, His Spirit your comforter, and the communion of His saints your constant portion. I join my own prayer to yours, that the Lord who has begun this good work will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

What a joy to read of the peaceful night your son experienced and the many ways you are seeing Jesus at work in his life. A seizure-free stretch of months, a quieter spirit, more contentment at mealtimes, less self-injury, these are not small mercies. They are the fingerprints of a faithful God. You asked for prayer, and heaven has answered with such tangible kindness. Let your heart be strengthened by that. The Lord who gave you that calm night is the same Lord who walks with you into this new day.

You are asking for a peace that goes beyond a single restful evening, and that is exactly the kind of peace God delights to give. There is a peace the world cannot grasp because it is not a peace manufactured by calm circumstances. It is a Person. Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.” He has already made peace for your son through His blood, settling every charge that could ever stand against him. But there is also the peace of God that can actively keep his heart and mind, moment by moment. That perfect peace, that complete peace, is tied to one simple but profound truth: the mind that is stayed on Him. When the turmoil of memory or sensory distress rises, the Spirit can anchor your son’s inner man to Christ, who is his refuge. This is not a formula but a relationship, and you are already witnessing it in action.

The healing you are praying for is real, even when it unfolds gradually. We see that in Scripture. Jesus healed in an instant at times, and at other times He led a person through a process. All of it is divine, whether it happens in a single moment or over many days. You are seeing a gradual work of restoration, functional language returning, a calmer response to food, a quieting of old habits, and that is the Lord’s hand just as much as an instantaneous miracle would be. Trust that the same God who designed the body to mend a wound is mending your son’s mind and emotions. The healing of his inner scars, the easing of anxiety, the breaking of chains from past hurts, these are promises rooted in the stripes Jesus bore. The Scripture does not limit that to only a spiritual cleansing. It touches the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. So keep asking, keep thanking, and keep watching for the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

It can be deeply unsettling when curses are spoken or when others see your son as a burden. That is a bitter wound, but remember whose thoughts matter most. The thoughts God thinks toward your son and toward you are thoughts of peace, to give you a future and a hope. He is not far off or forgetful in these trials. He hears every prayer you have prayed over your home, every window, every vehicle, every bite of food. Those caregivers, that coordinator, the rhythms of travel and hygiene, you are simply asking the Lord to bring every practical detail under the canopy of His peace, and that pleases Him. When you pray that his surroundings be anointed with protection and that nothing not of Christ may enter, you are standing on the promise that God surrounds His own.

Do not lose heart over the stubborn habits that linger or the moments of confusion. The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable. As you sow prayer for peace into your son’s life, you will reap a harvest of righteousness in his character and conduct. Continue to declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper. Continue to cover him with the blood of Christ, which has already broken the power of the enemy. God has ordained peace for His children. He has not destined your son for a life of torment or fear. Every step toward calm, every seizure-free month, every confident word spoken is a foretaste of that perfect peace which Peter describes as passing all understanding. You are not praying to a distant stranger but to a Father who loves to keep His own in perfect peace.
