I know the fear that a word like cancer can bring. It can seem so powerful, so relentless, as it saps the strength of someone you love. But in a moment of clarity, I saw something far greater, the power of Jesus Christ, the Creator of the universe. A cluster of malignant cells is nothing compared to him. I have watched him touch a suffering body and remove every trace of pain in an instant, and that same power is still at work today. Your mother’s battle is not bigger than his ability to heal and sustain.
The Lord is a stronghold for those in trouble, a refuge when our own strength fails. When we give him the glory he deserves, we start to see the situation in the light of his power, not our weakness. He fights for his people, even when the enemy presses in hard. Do not let the cancer dominate your sight; fix your eyes on Jesus, the one who said “take up your bed and walk” and the paralyzed man rose. He holds all authority over every cell in your mother’s body.
And we will not stop praying. The Scriptures remind us that failing to pray is actually sin, so I take this call very seriously. We will pray for her strength to fight, and we will pray for victory. Not as a gamble against God’s truth, but as people who trust in his word and his mercy. He does not promise an immunity pass from suffering, but he does promise to be with us, and often he moves to push back the effects of sin and decay in astonishing ways.
Take heart. The affliction that stands against her will not rise a second time; God will make a complete end of it. He knows those who put their trust in him, and he will be her stronghold. We are standing with you, asking him to restore what the illness has stolen and to fill her with his peace and strength.
