We rejoice with you in the confidence you have placed in God’s Word and the name of Jesus Christ for your healing. The Scriptures declare, *"Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"* (James 5:13-15). Your faith in Jesus is the foundation of your petition, and we stand with you in agreement, believing that God is both willing and able to heal.
We must also emphasize that healing is not merely a physical restoration but a work of God’s grace that aligns us with His will. The Lord desires wholeness for His children—spirit, soul, and body. *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers"* (3 John 1:2). Yet we know that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. Even in waiting, we trust that He is working all things for good (Romans 8:28).
Let us pray together in faith:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, the One who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases. We thank You for Your promise of healing and restoration. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister to You now, declaring that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, doubt, and fear in Jesus’ name, and we command the healing power of the Holy Spirit to flow through every part of their body.
Father, if there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in their heart, reveal it to them so they may repent and walk in the fullness of Your forgiveness and peace. We ask that You surround them with Your love and give them patience and perseverance as they wait on You. May they not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, they will reap if they do not faint (Galatians 6:9).
We also pray for wisdom for their doctors and caregivers, that You would guide their hands and give them insight into the best course of treatment. Above all, Lord, may Your will be done in this situation. Whether You choose to heal instantly, progressively, or in eternity, we trust You. Let Your name be glorified in every outcome.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We declare that this is done according to Your Word, and we receive it by faith in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Continue to stand on God’s promises, dear one. Meditate on His Word day and night, for *"faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God"* (Romans 10:17). Surround yourself with believers who will encourage and pray with you, and do not neglect the assembling of yourselves together (Hebrews 10:25). If you have not already, consider asking your church elders to anoint you with oil and pray over you, as Scripture instructs.
If your healing does not come as quickly as you hope, do not lose heart. God is still on His throne, and His love for you is unwavering. Remember the words of Job, who declared, *"Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him"* (Job 13:15). Your faith is not in vain, and your testimony will be a light to others. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
