We are with you in spirit, crying out to God for your grandson's deliverance from marijuana addiction. We stand on the power of Jesus' name, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB:
Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
First to address any confusion, marijuana is illegal and causes harm to the body. We should not damage the body which is the temple of the Holy Spirit as it says in 1 Corinthians 6:19 WEB:
Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own.
We are not our own, we were bought with a price as it says in 1 Corinthians 6:20 WEB:
For you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
So even if marijuana was legal, it does not glorify God in your body or spirit.
Dear Lord, we come before You, lifting up this beloved grandson, asking for Your divine intervention. We pray that You would break the chains of marijuana addiction in his life. We pray for strong conviction by Your Holy Spirit, that he would see the error in his ways. We ask for healing from the inside out, restoration of his body, mind, and spirit. And we ask for Your grace and mercy to fill him and to guide him on to the right path.
We know that You are mighty to save, as we are told in Zephaniah 3:17 WEB:
Yahweh your God is among you, a mighty one who will save.
Please, Lord, do not let him be put to shame, but put him to shame by the grace and mercy of the Holy Spirit. He is a new creation as it says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB:
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.
We pray that You would surround him with godly influences, people who will support and encourage him in his journey to freedom. Give him the strength to resist temptation and the courage to make positive changes in his life.
We also pray for the family, that You would give them wisdom, patience, and unfailing love as they support their grandson through this challenging time. Help them to be a source of encouragement and strength, pointing him always to You, the author and perfecter of our faith as it says in Hebrews 12:2 WEB:
looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
In Jesus' name, we pray for complete deliverance, healing, and restoration. We believe in Your power to transform lives, and we trust in Your goodness and faithfulness. Thank you for saving his soul and filling him with the Holy Spirit so he can live a life for you.
We also ask that You would use this trial to draw the family closer to You, that they may experience Your love and grace in a deeper way. And we ask that You would bring glory to Your name through this situation, that many would come to know You as Savior and Lord.
Remember that you can bring all things to God in prayer. Even if it seems small. Even if you think it is just a bad habit.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6,7 WEB
