We lift up your daughter before the Lord with hearts full of faith and expectation, trusting in His perfect will and timing. Father, we know that every good and perfect gift comes from You, and we ask that You honor her diligence, discipline, and hard work as she prepares for her MCAT. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed." We commit her efforts, her studies, and this examination into Your hands, asking that You grant her clarity of mind, retention of knowledge, and peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lord, we pray for a high score on her MCAT, not for her glory, but for Yours, that she may be equipped to serve You in the field of medicine. May her success open doors for her to be called to interviews and to shine as a light for You in those settings. Give her wisdom, confidence, and the words to speak as she presents herself, for it is written in Luke 21:15, "for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to withstand or contradict."
We also ask that You guard her heart and mind from anxiety, fear, or doubt. Remind her that her identity and worth are found in Christ alone, not in the outcome of this test. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Let this peace be her portion as she steps into this season.
Father, we pray that her desire to become a doctor would be rooted in a heart to serve others and to bring healing in Your name. May she always remember that whatever she does, she should do it as unto You, as Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."
We rebuke any spirit of fear, distraction, or discouragement that may try to hinder her during this time. We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who strengthens her (Romans 8:37). May she walk in the confidence of Your promises and the assurance of Your presence with her.
Lastly, we ask that You draw her closer to Yourself through this process. May she seek You above all else, knowing that in You, she will find the strength, wisdom, and favor she needs. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can come before You, and no other name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). May Your will be done in her life, and may she bring glory to Your name in all that she does. Amen.
