We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious son and his ongoing struggle with respiratory issues. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and numbers every hair on our heads. We stand in agreement with this mother’s plea for healing, believing that nothing is too hard for You. Lord, we ask for a miracle—whether through divine intervention or the hands of skilled surgeons—that this child would be set free from congestion, sleepless nights, and labored breathing.
The Word of God declares in Jeremiah 32:27, *"Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?"* No, Lord, there is not. We also hold fast to James 5:14-15, which says, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We claim this promise over this young life, trusting that You hear the cries of a mother’s heart and the prayers of Your people.
Father, we also ask for wisdom for the medical team treating him. Guide their hands, their decisions, and their timing. If surgery is Your chosen path for healing, prepare his body, steady the surgeons, and bring complete restoration. If You choose to heal him without it, we praise You in advance for the testimony that will follow. Either way, we declare that this suffering will not be in vain. You are working all things together for good, even when we cannot see the full picture.
We must also address the weight of this mother’s words: *"I pray to God, but my child continues to suffer."* Dear sister, we want you to know that God hears every prayer, even when the answer is not yet visible. The delay is not denial. In Isaiah 55:8-9, You remind us, *"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways… For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."* His timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with ours. Keep pressing into Him, for He is near to the brokenhearted.
We also encourage you to continue seeking Him not just for healing, but for His peace that surpasses understanding. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Even in the waiting, He is guarding your heart.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and healed. Lord, we lift up this precious child to You, asking for Your healing touch to rest upon him. Whether by Your divine hand or through the skill of doctors, we ask that You remove every trace of illness from his body. Breathe new life into his lungs, clear his airways, and grant him restful sleep. Father, we also ask for strength and peace for his mother as she walks this difficult path. Remind her that You are holding her son, even when she cannot. Give her faith to trust You in the waiting and eyes to see Your hand at work.
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or fear that would seek to linger in this situation. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, this child is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life, health, and wholeness over him, and we thank You in advance for the testimony of Your faithfulness that will rise from this trial. May this family draw closer to You through it all, and may Your name be glorified in every outcome.
We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
